Hi All,
Had a super busy weekend but have a new piece of furniture and a tidy flat! :j
Spent a lot though so being really frugal this week and not spending anything except £1 on work coffees and bus fare. So far so good but it is only Tuesday and DM is visiting from tomorrow onwards!
Hope everyone else is having a good week!

I love it when the house is nice and tidy, with no washing or ironing to do. OH put new bed sheets on the bed last night, I was so excited I'm like a child skipping to bed singing 'yay new bed sheets!!!!' over and over again. Honestly I'm such a moron!0

Hi Everyone!
Sorry I haven't updated. It's been a crazy couple of weeks. My DM came down and we were really busy with her and then last Monday she came over for dinner. Well...
She meets me from work and says she feels a little funny in the head but is generally ok. We get home and I start cooking but the cleaners have left two bags of smelly rubbish in the kitchen. I asked OH to take it down for me and he obliged. I am chatting away to my DM as I cook when we hear shouting. Turns out my OH decided to throw himself down the stairs!
We had to call a paramedic as he had landed on his ankle and we honestly thought he had broken it. I helped the paramedic and mum put away the dinner. They gave him gas and air so they could move his leg (he was sat on it) and after some assessment decided he needed X-rays. We got him in the car and off they went.
I got upstairs to find my DM sat down and looking very pale. She was very heavy eyed and looking extremely poorly. I managed to get her back to her friends and she got straight into bed. I honestly thought I was going to have to call another ambulance! I left her in the care of her friend and headed to the hospital for OH. He hadn't broken his ankle but there was still a lot of muscle damage and they gave him crutches.
DM was due to go back home on the coach on Tuesday but she was too ill to travel. I ended up making an arrangement with my DA and took a day off Wednesday to drive 3/4 of the way up with her. My DA met us and took DM the rest of the way home. Turns out she has an infection in her leg and diabetes. Her blood sugar was 16 and the nurse said it should have been around 6!!
She is still feeling pretty poorly but she is on antibiotics for her infected leg and she will see the Doc this week for the official results of her blood tests. She's not happy but she is at least getting the right treatment.
OH is still on crutches and is signing up with my surgery as he doesn't think his ankle is healing quite as it should. He is in a lot of pain and still heavily relying on his crutch. If he is going to be unable to walk unassisted, he wont be able to work so needs a doctor's certificate.
So it's been crazy around here. This weekend was pretty busy too as I took DM's friend and her friend to the raange on Saturday and then Sunday OH and I had a bbq with another couple. It was lovely but I just don't feel like I have relaxed in weeks!
Hope you are all doing well. Mrs T, I get excited over a freshly made bed too. Its one of the simple pleasures in life.
Have a good Monday!

Hey Everyone!
So a small update. OH is going to the doctor tomorrow as his ankle is still incredibly painful. DM has received her official diagnosis of diabetes and is not on tablets. She is starting to feel better which is good and is getting more positive.
I am currently aching all over. As an attempt to fill my time and live a healthier lifestyle, I went swimming yesterday. Oh good lord do my muscles ache. I could have cried last night. I am stiff as a board today and taking painkillers to ease the aches. It hasn't put me off though and I am headed back there on Friday! Going to try and go twice a week.
My finances are on the edge. I have very little savings now and my car is on it's last legs. I am trying very hard though to save. Will have some hard decisions to make soon.
Have a great day everyone!
