  • Hey everyone!

Last week went by in such a blur! Hmm where to start.. I think we had got to Wednesday where I had an interview.

    So...

Wednesday: I went to this group interview thing and it felt really awkward as I am not good at speaking about myself let alone with a load of strangers staring at me. I listened to what was said and I felt I did ok with speaking out. The pay is a lot lot less and it doesn't get much better as you go past your probationary. For somewhere which preached about low staff turnover, the longest member of staff had only been in the company two years. Then there was the manager.. Only some one I went to school with!!! She'd only been in the company 6 months and I just felt that the job would be stepping down. They said they would let me know if I got a 121 interview.

Thursday: so first day and the nerves were terrible but I quickly realised that the work was a total breeze compared to the levels of stress I'd had before. They'd had some bad experiences with temps previously so they were giving me information in small doses. I quickly showed them I was more than capable and everyone seemed really lovely.

Friday: so this was the last day of my strict diet and also the day everyone at work did a potluck lunch. I brought strawberries as they were something I could eat. It was nice to get to know the team better.

Saturday: weigh in day. I was quite disappointed as I only lost 6lbs instead of the 14 I had hoped. As my DM put though it was still a good amount for my first week. I also lost an inch from my bust and waist and 1/2 an inch from my thigh. Spent the rest of the day chilled out with OH as he was off work ill. He has really got on board now with my dieting. He is helping a lot more and I've got him involved with certain things like motivating etc.

Sunday: very bad day. So I end up with a wardrobe malfunction. A massive hole in my leggings. OH and I went to a shop to get a replacement pair and they agreed I could pop them on in the changing room. I went in there and it was pitch black with no light so I put the torch on my phone on. I hooked it up and the person next door smacked the partition. Down came my phone and smash went the screen! I was not a happy bunny.

monday: did lots of housework and laundry and sorted out a lot of things. Arranged to go to my nearest store to get my phone fixed. Quoted £160-£180 by c phone warehouse. !!!!

Today: went to get my screen done (30minute drive) and got told they wouldn't be able to do it until tomorrow. So another big drive after work. Work was good but a bit nervous as I will be the only admin person for the next week and a half and I have no idea what the others do! I will do my best though. I think I am getting there though and making a good impression. The others seem to like me.

So I think that is all. Good bits and bad bits.

Hope you are all doing ok. Sorry I haven't been getting up to date on your diaries. I am struggling to find a balance to everything at the moment.

I will get there! Love you all xx

So sorry to hear about your phone and the rubbish group interview. Doesn't sound like something you want really does it!

As for the weight loss... right, smack on the wrist time from me I am afraid. Unless you weigh 400 pounds, and go on the biggest loser, 14lbs is TOO MUCH to lose in a week. 6lbs is a lot for the first week. Google calorie controlled diets and you will see that the first week combines a loss of water, and lean muscle mass as the body struggles to get used to the dramatic drop in calories and actually uses your own cells rather than fat at first to keep itself going. Your body will adjust, and burn more efficiently next week, but please do not do yourself harm or make yourself ill. My mum went on lighter life and didn't lose more than 8lbs in any week. You worry me!!

Having said that I am very proud of you for sticking at it and being good. The willpower is great and it will show results. You just have to be patient. Lose it too quickly and you will put it back on just as quickly as soon as you revert to a more normal, not exactly excessive diet.

I've lost 6lbs in 2 weeks to give you some perspective. I am happy with that!

    Love you lots xx

Rest assured Lilty, the first week was just a detox diet and to get me used to smaller amounts of food and not eating between meals. I am now sticking to myfitnassP which is aimed at losing 2lb a week. :)

Well both doing amazing with your diets. I would like just to shed 2lbs a week. 6lbs is a lot to drop in a week, I have done that with WW lost 7lbs first week lived off veggie soup all week - just made me exhausted. So slowly does it.

Seems a lot for getting screen fixed October, Tried asking on facebook if any friends know somewhere local?

Glad the job is going well, x
