The £500 is a personal decision, but if it was me, looking at your signature balances, I would:-
Pay £220 off the credit card.
Pay £80 into emergency fund to make it £100.
Put £200 away for the October bills (as long as you are sure you wouldn't dip into it).

I would split it between EF & CC.
This then gives you the option to use some in October if need be.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Hi Everyone!
So trying for my second NSD today. I was tempted by a bacon bun at work but my desire for a NSD overcame the desire for the bun.. Which was great for my lbs and my pennies.. Problem is.. My boss then offered to pay and my resolve went out the window! Still pennies saved and overall calories aren't actually too bad. All recorded on MyFitnessPal.
I'm tempted to keep checking the scales but I have told myself to only weigh once a month as in my experience, watching the scales does nothing for my resolve or my motivation - unless it's a positive loss. It's hard to keep on track but I am managing to swap sweets and chocolate for fruit which is far better for me.
Anyway, back to work. Have a lovely day everyone!

Morning All
So yesterday was my second NSD of the month! :j I would like to say today will be another but not sure yet. There are a couple of things I would like to get.
My DA (Dear Aunt) gave us £100 for a new tent. We've been looking at this one:
It's £89.99 over the £100 and that is in the sale. We are taking our time to think about it. The peak camping season will be over soon and even though there is a sale on, there is a chance that the price could come down more.
We really want to invest in a better tent as we have always gone cheap and it really doesn't pay off. We have both been suffering with a bit of depression and I have had some anxiety and stress too. It's a lot better since we started focusing on goals but every now and then it would be nice to have a weekend in the great outdoors. It can also be a cheap holiday.
We are going to take our time and maybe try and save the extra money.
Not sure what we are doing this weekend. We will probably get a few jobs down around our flat and maybe do some research into what we need to do to complete surveys. I need to put some things up on Ebay too. I want to try and make my extra £50 this month. I found a penny the other day and picked that up. Need all the luck I can get!! Gave it to OH though as he needs some luck too. :rotfl:
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hello everyone this is Mr October the other half to October starter.
Well I am not really sure on how to start this off really so I will just come out with it at the moment I have an income of zero pounds at the moment with an outgoing of just under £250. At the moment my father is giving me the money to pay it off but of cause that isn’t a long term option.
So I am here to look into other ways of gaining money so I can become self-sufficient. I already selling items online but it is up and down every month.
So here is my breakdown of my financial position.
Income
Father : £250
Selling online : £0-£40
Outgoings
Loan: £105.27
Credit card minimal payments: £139.21
So any advice would be awesome0 -
Hi Mr & Mrs O!
Tent looks good. Any discount vouchers for the store you are buying it from available? Or cheaper online deals for the same tent?
Mr O, do you have time to enter competitions? There is a brilliant competition forum on MSE, and whilst wins aren't guaranteed obviously, you might win some cash or prizes that can help you both out at the moment. XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Good Morning All!
Welcome to the diary Mr O
Soooo it has been a spendy weekend but back to Moneysaving this week and going to be trying harder than ever!
I will have to tally up the spends so I can make a record of them. We did buy the tent though which has added to my cc but at least we have the opportunity to take time out now without too much additional cost.
Unfortunately this weekend was taken up trying to combat an infestation of fruit flies (from a rotten peach) and fleas brought in by a stray cat. YUK! I wouldnt mind so much, if we had a pet! We think we might have got them for now, so just need to treat everything again in a couple of weeks.
Hope everyone else's weekend went better!
