I've been wondering this for a while, but I've been nervous to admit it too openly coz most people seem to think I'm crackers.
Aha I see what you did there! :D
I love wrapping too, mince pie in one hand, mulled wine in the other, spending hours getting perfectly straight edges on my wrapping paper...I've even been know to try and align the sides of the paper so the pattern matches up.
I love shopping for paper and bows too, it all looks so pretty and pristine in the shops!
  • I'm ashamed to say I'm not joining. I'm teaching my 7 year old to wrap so I don't have to! :o

My name is babymoo and I am a wrapaholic!! I leave it all till the decorations are up and I can put Christmas music on and sit with a glass of hot chocolate and baileys .. or just baileys! and I can sit for hours quite happily!! I love being creative with wrapping and I always have a theme!!

I thought it was just me as everyone I know hates it. So glad i am not alone!! :D

I have no patience for wrapping. I would rather take a nice piece of fabric and tie that around that fiddle with paper and cellotape.

I do love receiving nicely wrapped gifts though.

    Love anything Christmas!

Plan on doing Santa style wraps this year - got lots of red foil wrap from Aces/Studio, bought cheap black insulating tape from ebay and then just stick on a small square of gold card with a square of tape on top.

This is first attempt - a bit wrinkled but its a start!

Love the idea 7Roland8 ... can't see the picture for some reason.

If that doesn't work, try black ribbon and just cut the gold card to slide the ribbon through :)

    Car Insurance Carver!
Im not good at wrapping and dont enjoy it generally, but with Christmas I love it! Me and hubby grab all the presents (bar each others!) put Christmas movies on and settle in to have a good old festive time! Some mince pies always go down well!

    Ooh this looks fab!

Thanks everyone, for making me feel more sane :)

Loving the idea of setting up a support group lol I think I need one- especially as this year my wrapping theme has to be 'I'm not allowed to buy any more lovely paper til I use up the stash left over from previous years'.

Sigh. Maybe that's why I started this thread- secretly I need to get my fix somewhere! :D

So another question- how early does everyone start the wrapping ritual? Do you do bits as you go along or save it all up for one epic wrap-fest?
