Love anything Christmas!
Plan on doing Santa style wraps this year - got lots of red foil wrap from Aces/Studio, bought cheap black insulating tape from ebay and then just stick on a small square of gold card with a square of tape on top.
This is first attempt - a bit wrinkled but its a start!
Great idea. I've seen the style a lot and wanted to have a go but was thinking I would have to get black ribbon and cut a window into gold card, would never of thought of tape. Thanks!Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Argh I hate wrapping! Mine always look like a mess, it takes ages and I have no patience for it!
Looks like we have a bit of a divide, maybe we can arrange some sort of wrapping swap so the wrapaholics can get and extra fix!0 -
Yes some people use black ribbon for Santa's belt but too fiddly for me and the tape so much easier.
Could even do Barbie pink instead of red for girls and green for elves - oh now you have me off!!
Got quite a lot of rolls in my cupboard - should use different patterns for different people as its easier to sort when they are under the tree.
I also wrapped a huge pile of empty boxes last year so these dummy presents also go under the tree but they stay there after Christmas Day to still make it look festive.
Tend to do wrapping in a few big batches - I usually do it in bed with everything spread around me!
You could use the red Santa wrap idea on bars of choc too and someone here has done it on those tiny Cadbury bars you put in choc machines - now that is fiddly!Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -

The gold card was just form a stack of old CD gift boxes I had bought on offer - very easy to do.

My Nan pays me a cup of tea and a slice of cake just to wrap her presents....she hates it but I adore it! I could do it as a job0

I'm not exactly a wrapaholic like some of you guys but I like to wrap things nicely, but I wrap as soon as it's bought so don't have to do a big pile in one go, mainly so hubby can't be nosey at what he's got. I love seeing the pile grow...already started! It is only 68 sleeps left now so not long really x0

I'm on the fence about wrapping - I like doing it but I'm not at all good with my hands so it ends up wonky.proud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

If ever I gift a bottle of wine or similar, I know how I'll be tarting up one of those tubular bottle holders! (Ties in nicely with my aversion to bottle bags too)Living thriftilymost of the time

We had a hoot one Xmas as niece had given me wine in a bag - and when we opened it the bottle had a little Santa hat on and a suit around the bottle. Son thought it such a novelty.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0
