Think I will go back to see the GP, immunity isn't right with the other issues I have it hasn't been right since, colds are lasting 6-8 weeks and it's just not right. Thanks for the support, means a lot, just don't know if I can be bothered with the agro if I asked him to do stuff, that's what usually happens, he says ask if I need something then when I do throws a complete tantrum or says he'll do it later, 2 weeks later it's still there & I give up asking. We've had wardrobes sit for over a year before they got built.

Must have been rough this morning, after making my coffee I'd put the milk in the cupboard and coffee in the fridge :rotfl: ooops!
One day I might be more organised...........

Got the bedroom sorted this morning whilst DH was still at home and entertaining DS.

Have a pile of ironing to work through later.

Took DS to the Common today where he rode around on his bike, we went to the wildlife centre and he made a badge, we had a picnic and then on the way back to the car he threw a wobbler and called me mean and threatened to kick me because I wouldn't help him push his bike. It then got worse. I was furious and told him that instead of taking him out places and doing things for the summer hols he could spend the rest of the holiday sat on his bedroom floor, beginning with one hour as soon as we got in.
We have come home and I ordered him upstairs. 15 minutes later he appeared back down here and threw his arms round me apologising for being ungrateful and rude! I have accepted his apology and he's back up there to tidy his room and wait out the other 45 minutes.

Hugs to anyone else having a rough day. Can't really add anymore to what the others have said, please take good care of yourself lil_me.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Early hello from me. I've bunked off early to take B.o.b to the v.e.t. Again. Time enough to read your posts and a quick cuppa though.

Rach and Lil_me I read your posts with envy. Both of you tackling a big job and an overhaul and I'm right in the mood for doing at least a room up just not with my money. Lil_me, take heed of what the others have told you please. End of lecture.
Shirleypark, if you do decide to keep the house on maybe a lodger or a close friend staying would be an option? Good luck for the managers job in the meantime.

When I get back I must finish the livingroom clean up and make a start at getting the house cat hair free for my allergic Bro at the weekend (mutter mutter my house anti-histamines mutter). Right, off to put on protective clothing before I catch and wrestle this battle scarred old warrior. Still got 13 useable claws he keeps reminding me..

finally crashed out with a cuppa and cake whilst my friend has gone to pick up a rug with her brother. she and i ahve been out all day picking curtains etc. got some good ones, and bargains too, though its not her money its always good to stewards others' money wisely i find! my legs ache now though, 5 hours sleep is not enough to work like a dog all day on! just catching up on here then i'll fnish the painting in the downstairs loo. and cillit bang the bathroom tiles.

lil_me not much to add except, have you tried taking echinacea? i know its not a miracle cure but a study the other week said it can boost your immunity by about 50% i think. also, after my viral thing the other year i found that metatone tonic helped me get back to normal. i've a few other expernences too (i had a really nasty viral thing and ended up off sick for 2 months later on with a post-viral exhaustion thing a couple of years ago)

my list is looking like this:
wilkos again - curtains, lightbulbs - ended up getting curtains from dunelm actually!
bathroom clean - cillit bang is needed (just as a one off) as tiles are nasty
    second coat on downstairs loo
look for pictures - no success
    order OHs bday present
    check home answerphone
    check work email
suggest painting 1 or 2 smaller bedrooms with leftover paint
clean & hoover out my car
    put up washing line
    waste paper baskets
    order wardrobe online

    Hi all,

Have been keeping up with the housework for last couple of weeks but not flying.......haven't been posting very much (odd one here and there on OS) DD was off poorly for the last few days of summer term and now at home for schoool hols............ and now DH is ill, nasty tummy bug.

So, I really need to jump back in and get flying again, if only to stop me from doing as much as I do so I can spend some nice quality time with DD while she's off school.

    So far today I've....

Given DW a clean (bought a second hand one the other day and wanted to give it a good clean out.

Cleaned the oven - wahay - I've been putting this off for ages, I hate doing it :A

    thats it. lol

So, I've got just under an hour until Anthea starts to.......

    S & S bathroom & Toilet
    Vacuum through
Tidy up toys and stuff in living room
    Make our bed
    Empty the bins

Then I'll be back on later and I will put up tomorrows list.

    Hope you are all well.

    Bye for now

Emmie welcome back, hope everyone is better soon, sounds like your lot have had everything going bless them

Rach I've heard of it but never tried it, might look into it, thanks.

I have posted tomorrows list, embarrassed to say haven't done much of todays yet but not being in the bestest of moods/health today think I will add what I don't manage tonight onto tomorrow or the weekend. Haven't even been able to get my sheets washed as I had other washing waiting to go in the drier, will do them tomorrow as forecast is a little brighter.

Right boys bath time, they're both manky (I'm currently hiding in their PC room) so best go get on with it. TTFN :)

Lil_me you souind exhausted and you really must do as everyone has been saying. I think I said ages ago that I was like you, doing everything and more and now I am virtually housebound and retired on health grounds. And DH does even less because I am at home not at work. You need rest and more rest. Can you get someone to help you? I wish I had energy I'd come over and help.

I have all my late teens early twenties back home again plus friends and more expected tomorrow but my lot have to do meals for friends and sort out sleeping arrangements. Some things get easier when they get older.

Shirleypark hope all goes well with job

Just popping in to say I'm on a mission tonight. Kitchen's tidy again, livingroom is swish complete with cleaned windows (still dirty on the outside mind..) My bedroom de-catted and the bathroom positively sparkles again. Phew!

I've got to take the moggie back in the morning as a matter of urgency to be knocked out and the wounds cleaned out. He has celulitis (I don't know I've yet to google it too). It's kind of scuppered my plans for tomorrow evening too (God, I'm selfish) I was supposed to go see my friend sing at a charity jazz club thing (nice..) but I think The Most Expensive Stray Cat in the World needs some TLC.

Going to hit the spare room hotspot. Yes I'll even do the ironing then I'm going to give Heroes on BBC2 a go, the whole super powers thing pushes my buttons. We'll see.

Have a lovely evening, and a good day tomorrow.

  • Hello again everyone,

One last post before I head to bed for an early night with HP!

I was quite pleased with today's progress - even if I did end up doing several dashes in and out with the sheets trying to dry them outside.

    Level 1
[strike]Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh linen[/strike]
    Level 2
    [strike]Check fire alarms are working[/strike]
[strike]Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing[/strike]
    Level 3
[strike]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs about
    [/strike]

[strike]Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen[/strike]
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter Might do the blanket box in the bedroom if I'm feeling really keen
    • Clean windows in these rooms
    • [strike]Sort one drawer, making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed[/strike] Yeah - the cutlery drawer in the kitchen finally got cleaned out
    • [strike]Wipe tops of door frames, even if just what you can do in 5 minutes[/strike] Upstairs doors all done
Lil_me Just to add to what Rach said - I *think* echinacea is more preventative than curative. I know OH takes it if he has a big weekend tournament coming up and he is feeling slightly under the weather and doesn't want to get any worse. He swears by it - which is pretty impressive for a bloke  . Also I know you should only take it for two weeks at a time and then stop for two weeks - otherwise its effectiveness wears off. I can also recommend metatone for when you are feeling run down - haven't used it for a while though.

Solwaykid - I read your post too fast and thought your cat had cellulite :rotfl: ! My mind was boggling - I hope whatever it is isn't too bad.

    Sleep well everyone
