So I thought it would be a nice thing to do for them
I've also borrowed a tablet from OH's work for a few days to do the work as it's much too complex to be trying to do with a normal mouse, the sooner I get it done the sooner OH can take the tablet back to work - good job it's the summer hols! :rotfl::rotfl: Right, fingers have recovered again (they get stiff with holding the pen for so long and pressing down with it) so I'll do a bit more now, then wash the dishes, and then in the next break I'll dust the livingroom etc.
Just going to set my timer for 15 minutes
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Thanks Shell, will try that, well get him to :rotfl: DP is into his electricals and thinks the motor is on it's way out (hence the burning smell) so pressumed was because of that. When it does break I might see if he can fix it as I really like this one, I hated my DC01 Dyson but this is a DC07 Animal and it's FAB!! If it dies I'll have to have another the same.
Michelle I know what you're saying about supplements, I have been careful but found the CLO tablets I was taking had other stuff in so have had to change brands, some don't realise (like my Mum) that you can do as much harm as good with some things.
Pouring down here too, managed to get one load dry on the line, been down the high street and spent moneyalso gave me an hour off from the boys. Kids watching transformers with their Dad (wonder who is the biggest kid sometimes) so going to make DPs tea and work food. DS1 helped make his own lunch today with his Dad, quite shocked at both DP offering to make their dinner (saying that I made his and was eating mine at the time) and DS1 helping, Dad did the cutting & he put it together, he was very proud.
One day I might be more organised...........

Hi, managed to get the finger painting done with out too much of a major disaster lol Council been and put grab rails up in the bathroom, they're nreally nice they fold down when you need them. They're coming back in the morning to do the window locks as they didn't bring the right sort to fit the window.
Poohbar, have you contacted your local social services, they should have someone there who deals with adaptations. We're on the list for a walk in shower cubicle with a seat for DD, can't wait to get this!!
well, decided will get the other stuff done after DD has gone to bed later, got a load of washing to get dry, vaccing to do, and general tidy round, not much really.
Hope everyone is ok.

Well trotted of to docs in the rain, had to wake DD1 up as she had nodded off (she never does this!!) so popped her in the buggy and DD2 on buggy board. Came of docs to serious downpour, popped into chemist as DD1 needs eardrops for both ears (antibiotics have not cleared it), out so stock can collect tomorrow after 1pm - glad its not life threatening!! A friend kindly stopped as asked if I wanted a life as her littles were not in the car, was really really sweet of her but had to pop to shop so declined offer. Come out of somerfields and find myself in india - monsoon season. Even the buggy hood was leaking inside.
Sorry not fly related but needed to moan and got no-one real to do it too! how sad am I???0 -
Missed the post about the grab rails. I have these in the bathroom, they are fixed but don't get in the way, over bath shower also second set of rails on the stairs inside and out. We didn't have a walk in shower put in as DSs were only little, I'm pleased as DS1 hates the shower. This was all done when I first took ill several years ago, I got a referal to the councils Occupational Therapist who came out and did the assessment and application but I don't know how it will differ as I don't own my home. Disabled facility grant are usually available for those who own their home info should be on your local council website, if you can't find it PM me which council yours comes under and I'll see if I can find it.
Ok kids officially driving each other crackers, usually in hols DS2 is mainly outside and DS1 inside. Now they're both stuck in & bugging each other, argh! Have tried putting fims on, doing crafts etc but not interested, will try something else in a mo............I feel more like a referee!
Shell moan away, I am, we are real, in a internet kind of way, there is still someone else listening who can usually sympathise with what you are going through (I got soaked on the high street too)) ((hug)) have a hug, hope the new meds work when you eventually get them (our pharmacy is the same and always a delay) seems your little DD is definately not herself at the minute. One day I might be more organised...........

Hi all, no Flying today it's just too manic but I had to pop in to see what folks have been up to.
Sexymouse, £1000, OMG and I was moaning about £64. Thanks to all asking after Bob, he's home now feeling groggy (well looking groggy, he could be feeling high as a kite and happy for all I know) with one more visit next week. I am bleeding money..
I'm happy he can be left this evening so I'm going to get cleaned up and go to my mates charity jazz evening after all.
Pigpen I've got bring me sunshine stuck in my head which is nice enough but all I can think is the Morcambe and Wise dance to it. the over 40's will remember it.
And Shell..A friend kindly stopped as asked if I wanted a life as her littles were not in the car,
Happy evening folks, catch you all tomorrow.

Hi folks,
Just a quick flying (ha ha!) visit as DH is due home soon.
Today was an odd one as I spent the whole morning with a stinking headache. I took both ibruprofen and paracetomol with codine (separated by a couple of hours!) but nothing was shifting it. So in the end I took to my bed for a couple of hours this afternoon. It's still lurking, but not quite as bad at the moment.
I've managed to do both the bathroom and the upstairs loo - so only the spare room to do tomorrow before parents arrive at lunchtime. I'm meeting them at the station (stopping off at the charity shop to unload this week's declutter on route!) and they're taking us to the pub for lunch.
Lil_me: I'm glad today sounds like it has been a little bit better (machinery apart). Keep taking it steady though.
Rach: I reckon you could get a job as a moving house consultant. It sounds like you are really helping out your friend - remind me to contact you if and when we move house!
Kasmeister: Sorry to hear about the docs. But at least you'll be around here for another month.
Shell2001: Big hugs - I'm sorry you got soaked. This rain is getting really annoying isn't it
Solwaykid: Glad to hear Bob is doing ok - I was wondering how he was doing (promted by almost tripping over our cat who had decided she needed sardines and wasn't moving til she got them!)
Hugs to everyone else who needs (or wants) them.
Right time to stick the kettle on ready for a cup of tea.
Have a good evening everyone,

Hello all!
Have made up for missing a bit of flying, by flying all day today. Have cleaned something in every room of the flat.
Kitchen: Loaded and unloaded dishwasher.
Bathroom: Cleaned sink, top of medicine cabinet, washed walls (to get rid of all of the black drilling dust), washed the pipes (same reason), washed the floor. Also hung up a load of washing in here on the shower rail and on a clothes horse in the bath to keep it out of the way.
TV room: Hoovered sofa, floor and dusted TV. Also removed a bit more clutter and OH has promised to help me clear some more tomorrow as I have a friend coming over on Saturday to pick me up for her hen-do, and I don't want her to think that the place has got worse since she last came round last year.
Hall: Hoovered and dusted barometer on wall.
Bedroom: Cleaned the mirror and TV and emptied enough washing out of the basket so that the lid now fits on.
Computer room / Junk room / study: Hoovered all I physically get to.
Also 1 load of washing out on line blowing about lots (I hope it doesn't blow away).
My back and hands are killing me now. Thank goodness we are going to my parents for dinner tonight, so I don't have to cook now.
Hugs to all of you who have had a rough day. Make sure you all have some me-time tonight and put your feet up. You deserve a break.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Hi all
(((hugs))) all round seems a few need them!!:grouphug:
Attacked the living room today, rearranged and cleaned, but to be honest I need to paint the walls, amazing how dirty a log burner is, soot just sticks to everything!! Don't think I'll be happy til I've decorated;)
Really feel for all those with flooding problems, lashing down here and I'm so appreciative of having a dry home, seeing people on the news visiting their flooded homes is heartbreaking.
