Welcome to the weekly flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!
Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn’t a must do, just an encouragement, we now have levels. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just one task per day, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you’ve got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.
THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.
Also adding a extra mission each day. Another one where it’s up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. Fling boogies, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this of any suggestions do please let me know.
A few of the basics before we start the week:
Hotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc
Nighttime routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
27 Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag and whizz around the house finding 27 items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

It's a self cleaning oven... that means I don't have to do it.. right?? Plus it is a double oven!!! How about a compromise and I do the hob??? It has 8 rings..
.. deal??
Welcome Jovichick.. If you like cleaning ovens.. can I be the first to borrow your services?? lol
Ooh... my mouser caught himself a mouse today.. I didn't even know we had one!!
I've also scalped the 3 boys and hubby and flea shampoo'd the girls.. they are being bathed and having their hair cut tomorrow so that should be fun.. because they are havng their bum length hair cut to.. shoulder blade level... I am sick of the lice, I am sick of them moaning when I am brushing it and I am sick of it taking to long to de-flea them every weekend.. can't get flea's if they are all bald can they? Extreme I know, but I don't care.
Just waiting for hubby to get back from chippy and I am going out with my mother tonight.. she has just got back from near Upton where she has been flooded in since Friday.. it took her 12 hours to drive the usual 2.5 hour drive.. hahaha!! AND she had my stepdads friends in the back and one of them has done nothing but whinge ALL weekend... so she really needs a beer.. lol Hubby is too tired to go out.. he has done 2 nights running and is flagging now.. this will be my 4th night out in a row.. killer shoes tonight I feel thoughLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks very much for the warm welcome back!
Business is going well thanks lil_me, keep getting drenched everytime out delivering catalogues but we are getting sales :j We are on target for the first bonus level in the first month of joining
I am going to declare that I will tackle the oven tomorrow, am feeling brave tonight :rotfl:0 -
Good compromise Pigpen, self cleaning you lucky sod, wonder how that works ? Got me curious now! Have a great night out and good luck with the hair cuts. In my entire school years I only ever got headlice once, scary how much of it is about now! Saying that we had the 'nitty nurse' come in to school regular then so parents didn't want the embarrassment of having to collect a child from school, I remember a parent and child crying when one was sent home.
Great news Jovichick, hope it continues to go well for you, can you send stuff in the post ? Might be handy if my local rep stops coming round again, just seems to come round when he feels like it! PS some of the stuff seems to sell well on ebay I have noticed, might be worth looking into it.
DP definately staying out for the night, would like to say I trust him but this has made me realise I don't think I do, not without good reason of course because of things that have happened in the past, but not a nice feeling. DS1 has come down since being sent to bed and asked for his 'sleep medicine' which in a way I think shows he's starting to understand he needs sleep and it helps if he needs it. I usually don't give him it over the hols but he seems to know when he needs it now. I'd rather him know than be up for 3 days constant (no I'm not kidding has done this several times). Once they eventually settle I think I will have an early night. Was going to do the freezer/meal plan but can't be bothered. Oh must remember to get laundry in! Not used to a few hours of sunshine and being able to hang it out.One day I might be more organised...........

Will look into the ebay thing, have been selling quite a bit on there (trying in vain to declutter)
Would most definately post out if you need anything, just let me know! We saw one day of sunshine last week when we had DS running about outside all afternoon to tire him out :rotfl: definately not enough to get any washing dry though!!
Will post back tomorrow and let you know how its going!!0 -
Great start to the week, as i have managed to break my work lap top, because the mouse buttons don't work. So it has taken me a little while to work out how to use it without these functions.
I think i will work from my own list again this week as i was using my own initiative to see what really needed doing, and then using my new found house catch phrase of 'just get on and do it' so thinks worked well for me last week and we entered the weekend tidily, however, a weekend of doing not very much flying, and DH cutting down a 20 foot conifer in the garden which is still lying on the top lawn for the cats to clamber through, and you can imagine that i am ready for some more flying.
So, will write my list ready for tomorrow, and post it at some point when i can, although i think it will have to involve at some stage this week writing down some of my internet favourites as i will need to hand the lappy back in to work to be fixed, and then i can'tguarantee i will get it back as the CD drive is also knackered, so it may be ready for some serious TLC in the scrapyard in the sky.
Anyway, see you all soon,
Michelle, x0 -
Hello everyone
Ready for another week. I'm going to reach level 2 all this week. DD will be at brownie camp and D(ish)H will be working away so it's just me and DS so it'll be quick flying in the morning and then fun with him for the rest of the day. Speak soon xxJanuary budget

Thanks for the new thread Lil_me.
I seem to have done a fair bit already without thinking about it. Hurrah! It does become second nature after a while (ok, a long while) and to be fair it's only me who makes the mess, but I'm happy with my efforts today.
Apart from ironing. Didn't do it. hate it. don't want to do it.
Have a good night all and hugs to those of you with worries threatening keeping you awake. Get some sleep and tackle the problems in the morning..One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400
