    Hi

Looking forward to getting stuck in this week! Had a lazy weekend reading the new HP book, DH was really put out that I was reading, he hates it! But it only took me about 24 hrs over the weekend and he spends longer than that watching TV or playing on the PS2!! I don't complain, but he was on at ME so much I wanted to get in the car and just drive away!!

Never mind, sis still in hosp with her baby, he's lost a little more weight than they'd like so she has to stay in til he regains it, but they have her so confused with breast/bottles/expressing she doesn't know where she is and just wants to give up breast feeding! Because of the c-section her milk hasn't "come in" yet and he isn't getting enough from her at the moment. She is so depressed being there on her own at night, if she was at home she could relax and feel comortable and cope so much better, I know I did.

Anyone else here have experiences like this on post natal??

OK I've had my gripe, sorry:o , when i come to think of it I've had a pretty crappy weekend, didn't notice til I put it into words!!

Lets all have a good one this week...oh and i really enjoyed HP, not as sad as i had been led to believe:D

    Morning all.
This week begins an interesting new venture for us. OH has picked up an evening job 8pm-1am night fill in a local shop. Things are quiet in our business at this time of year, so this will increase our income a bit. Problem is he's more of a morning person than a night one . . . could get interesting by the end of the week LOL.

    Lil-me - hugs to you
would like to say I trust him but this has made me realise I don't think I do

    Morning all,

Right so, my plan for the day looks like this:

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room - We don't have a Dining room, so I think I have maybe got off lightly on my first day lol
    Level One

    Clean floors
    Level Two
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Clean cupboard door fronts and the front of appliances
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
[STRIKE]Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
    [/STRIKE]
Will be doing this when I wipe kitchen surfaces, dining table is in kitchen!
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round
    [/STRIKE]
Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required
[STRIKE]Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky [/STRIKE] Not gunky, just checked lol
    Extra Mission:
    Choose one or more of:
    • Clean inside of fridge
    • Take a duster and wipe around the tops of your door frames – as many as you can manage in 5 minutes
    • Use a wire coat hanger and a duster to get down behind the radiator and get them bits you never normally reach
    • Clean OVEN yes I know you all hate that one :p wonder how many choose - Am still feeling kinda brave/stupid - am going for it, can't remember the last time it was cleaned properly
In addition to this I also have to do the following:
    Laundry
    Washing up
Make Sausage casserole for tea (anyone got a nice simple recipe for this, I love the packet mixes but am trying not to buy them at any costs lol)
    Distribute 50 catalogues
    Post items sold on ebay
List 10 more items on ebay
Read 1 chapter of Great Expectations (Am finding that it's not so hard to read books I don't like if I read a chapter a day lol I wouldn't mind but every other book on my reading list for next year is a chapter a day book :rotfl: )
Bake cookies/fairy cakes with DS - have been promising over weekend so will have to do it today!

Wow, it looks like a busy day!!! Am off to make another brew, haven't woken up properly yet lol

((((HUGS)))) to all who need/want them, sorry to hear about your sis Galant, I had a C Section too and being in the hospital for longer than expected is a horrible experience. Have they got the baby on bottles to assist with the weight? Hope she gets to come home soon, will keep my fingers crossed for her!

Right, wheres that brew lol, will be back to update later!!

    Sarah xx
  • Good morning and count me in again this week. I need to stay on top of stuff as my parents are coming for the weekend and DH has plans for taking me to see the Senior Golf Open (or something like that!) on Thursday.

I'm feeling a bit delicate today with an upset stomach. Possibly something to do with all the rich food (and drink!) we consummed at the weekend. But I've already got the first lot of washing out drying to make the most of the dry weather.

Lil_me: Thanks so much for posting the lists each week. I don't know what it is, but they seem to make things a bit more achievable than me just saying "Today I'm going to clean the kitchen"

Other tasks for the week are to finish my OU assignment, keep plugging away with the work for my new job (major grump on Friday evening when DH accidental lost 16 hours worth of computer stuff I'd done  ) and carry on reading the new HP booke (£4.98 from Costco - result!).

Have a good week everyone and catch up with you later

    Hello again everyone.

Haven't been arond here for a few weeks, though I have been flying on and off still.
July just got too hectic for me! Work became hideously busy, there was lots of extra things to do with school, plus there were a few other issues bubbling along and most evenings I didn't have the time or energy to post.

    Hope everyone is ok.

I've now finished work and don't return until 4th Sept so am hoping these 6 weeks will get me back on track.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Hi to everyone! I feel like I have been away for ages, and I haven't had a chance to keep up to the threads. Still Diet Coke free! If I get to the end of this week I will consider that I have cracked it. There have been a few close calls.

Dad stayed Thurs to Sunday. We had a marvellous time and DS was spoiled rotten. I managed to get a load of stuff cleared and Dad was able to sleep in a relatively clear spare room that usually houses my ironing mountain! The only thing he criticised was DH's driving (Ooops!)

It was just so relaxed - we had a little trip out, DS got cuddled out of his life and Dad got a desperately needed break.

    However...

I want to try and get Estate Agents in to value the house, so we can get out of this street. Our current neighbours are brilliant, but they rent and they have a hole in the roof that the landlord won't fix. I wouldn't stay much longer if I were them and the neighbours we have had before them have been awful.

Before I get Estate Agents in, I need to get the house clean. There is loads that needs doing, like plaster falling off walls and kitchen cupboards collapsing, but we have to know whether it will be worth putting it right, given that the hole in the roof next door will be giving us a load of damp (wallpaper falling off wall at that side). I have set a deadline of 1 September to try and motivate myself. I hope I can make it.

I am going to aim for level three each day, ebay like mad, and after three weeks I hope to be in a good position. Pigpen - I don't know how you manage to keep on top of all your stuff, I'm sinking here as it is with just one DS.

It is so good to be back on the thread!

    Hev
    Always another chapter

    Morning all :hello:

Back from my weekend away at the IL's which didn't go to plan - their flight from Blackpool was cancelled at 11.55PM on Friday night  So we ended up spending the weekend with them afterall  Only grumpy as I was planning a family "holiday" were we'd be away from our house and get to do some things as a family, but I still took DD shopping (Spent over £40 on her :o but that will come out of her bank account sometime this week ;) ) and then I spent most of Saturday evening/night and yesterday reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows which I finished at 8.10 this morning :rotfl::rotfl:

Right, my plan for today is to get the house back in some sort of order - there are things that weren't put away on Thursday/friday before we went away (like the dishes :o ) and I've just put load 1 off erm... 4 or 5 in  Still need to unpack things like toilertries etc and I've got ebay things to do as well  Thankfully DD is at ILs and is not my responsibility this week so I hope I'll get through the whole house and maybe get one or two decorating jobs done as well.. we'll have to see though. Right, off to put dishes away and wash up
