Morning everyone
Hope you all ok and doing what you feel happy doing.
I'm plodding with the list this week, some things ok others I just go uuuugh, not doing it, but I will get there. Had a blinding headache for 3 days which wasnt helped last night when I cracked my eye on the glass door OH had left open when he helped clean the kitchen! Saw doc yesterday who has signed me off again for another month so will be with you ladies a bit longer. He's also referring me to hosp to check there's nothing else going on besides the anaemia which isnt responding to the iron tabs. Levels have only gone up by 0.1 in 4 weeks instead of a gram per week - no wonder I still feel shattered. Must slow down a bit, being a stay at home mum is too much like hard work.
Going to shower and dress and then sort kids bookcase today. Will check in again later to see how you all doing - it is an incentive.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Hello everyone,
Have been catching up on the thread as I finally sat down with the telly on to sort out some of the piles of paper that had been amassing by the coffee table yesterday afternoon (embarassingly I found stuff from before Christmas - was on teaching placement then). It's looking a bit better now, although I will probably have to wait until tomorrow to clean the room completely, as OH has junk everywhere, and it is his day off tomorrow (fingers crossed he does a little bit of decluttering - we're talking tools etc cos we've been doing up the flat to sell).
lil_me I went to the docs recently with a persistent cough, and she told me to take high strength vitamin C for a couple of weeks. You can also take zinc to boost your immune system, and make sure that you are getting plenty of sleep and drinking lots of water.
Anthea Turner's Perfect Housewife is on BBC 3 at 8.00pm, but last night was the last in the series, so don't know when the next series will be on. Sometimes they repeat them though.
Solwaykid hope your cat gets better soon. I know what it's like with the vet bills. My cat has just cost me nearly £1000 (see earlier in the thread) as I didn't have insurance for him! His final checkup tomorrow so hopefully the vet will give him the all clear to go out again, although I'm a bit worried cos I caught him chewing his stitches last night as I think they are itching as they heal.
Right, off to tackle our newly fitted bathroom - can't believe there is grime on the bath already after only a week, although some of it has been caused by OH drilling holes for pipes. Anyway, I cleaned the windowsill in there yesterday and put all of my toiletries back in there, so one area is done already, giving me time to catch up on other things. Now do I get dressed first, or do I fly better in a nightie? (To self: "stop procrastinating, and get on with it girl!")Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Thans for the info on Anthea and supplements, because my body struggles to absorb vitamins and minerals it would appear I'm on a multi supplement daily (when I remember to take it
) I think it has zinc in but will check.
Solwaykid hope the cat is better soon
Kaz ((hugs)) hoep you're feeling better soon
Well washing washing and more washing today. Got our sheets in now but DS2 has wet through every part of his bed linen inc duvet so got all that to do and downside is it's threatening to rain. Going to my sisters to get money back she owes me in a bit, after this wash load is finished so I can get another in. Downside is machines making a hell of a racket again, it seems to be on it's way out, sort of like my vacuum cleaner which makes a burning smell and cuts out, they'll be replaced when they don't work at all!!!
I usually fly reasonably well in my PJs but think neighbours are sick of seeing me out with the dogs in my PJs.One day I might be more organised...........

Morning Ladies!
I'm not around but still trying to fly, went to parents yesterday, showed my sister how to make a cheats lasagna as they were whinging they didn't have food in despite having a full pantry and 3 full freezers  and introduced two nephews out of 3 to the delights of courgettes.
Then, i brought a sleepy charlie home, and started on our dinner, and filed over 200 photos into photo albums, some of which have just been printed via asda (only 10 wrong which i will have to phone them about later) while DH was still working on the phone.
Went to bed at 11 tired but happy that i have sorted so many things out. I must have binned nearly the same number of fuzzy piccies, or ones that were duplicated, or of people i hardly know, so that must be all my 27 fling boogies for this week done.
lil-me sorry you are feeling so bad still. I hasten to add a word of warning that you shouldn't go around taking extra vitamins if you are already on one as too much can also make you ill of some types. When i was ill last year one of the things they picked up was that my red blood cells were actually more pink, which can happen from taking too many vitamins, and as i had been taking hair nail and skin ones for a few months the doc blamed them. Might be best to talk to your dr again, as lots of people take vits when they don't actually need them and they pay a fortune for them and don't get the benefit.
Anyway, charlie now awake, so i had best release him and then try and do something, but will pop in later as DH is away overnight0 -
Hi Everyone,
Well so far have managed to keep last nights hard work nice and tidy, just had a quick vac round after brekky this morning (dd's a messy little so and so) lol and quick S&S in bathroom. Looks like windows won't get done today its raining here again - just hope bedroom doesn't flood again........
Council Repair man has been this morning and is coming to fit my window locks, has been and counted up how many he needs and has gone back to ware house to pick them up. We're also having some supports put up in our toilet for little one ( she has cerebal palsy and balance isn't too good!) so he's going to fit those for us too, hopefully then can get on with the toilet training!!!!
Will put a load of washing on in a bit, looks like clothes horse will be up again today ......
DH has declared he will be making lunch today - beans on toast then bless
Then me and DD are going to do some finger painting.
Hope everyone is having a good day!!

Trying to "up" my income and rookie oldstyler0 -
Morning folks,
Flying and lists are still not really happening. I am just doing dailies and s and s. Yesterday I got kids to vacuum, sweep and mop hard flooring, and cleaning all bathrooms, including toilets. DD also has done three loads of washing this morning before I got up.
We started our kids on simple jobs around the house when they were little like lil_me is doing. The only problem I had was when they wanted to do the ironing and I wouldn't let them in case they burnt themselves. They all now LIKE ironing. They all learnt to cook so that when they leave home they can manage. My mother only let me in the kitchen to clean (sounds like Cinderella) so I didn't learn to cook until I left home.
emmie I just found out that i can get some grab handles for me in the bathroom for balance problems and possibly a bannister for the stairs. I have been struggling now for three years.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Afternoon all
One load of washing hung upstairs, it's wet and windy here.
Just cleaned toilet, sink and bath. I vacuumed the floors yesterday. The computer desk was done yesterday.
 Picked up dead bird from outside back door. Glared at cat.0 -
Afternoon and hello. Hugs all all out there and a double squeezy one to those who need one.
lil_me - get yourself to the Drs and take it easy.
polly - have you thrown it over the fence to mine as theres one outside my back doorstep too.
Ive just got a few odd bits to do this lunch. Been working from home this am reading reports. I get it done much better as there are less distractions.
Ive had to put the heating on for a bit.. The house was just generally damp, so the heating on and the windows open which seems such a waste, but i dont really know what else to do apart from buy a dehumidifier which will be shockingly expensive as everyone will be buying one after the floods.
So to do:
Hoover house and then empty the hoover as its full after my cleaning efforts from lil_mes list 2 weeks ago caused it to have extra sucking power and it got soooo much more up
Mop kitchen and bathroom floor
Put the washing away.
Going to get it done during lunch and then head into work for the afternoon to show my face.
Take care and see you later.

Lil-me you said you hoover keeps cutting out. Mine did that and I found that the electrical connection had come loose. Check the plug first and if not there look at where the cable connects into the machine, I had to unscrew the handle to get to this bit. I got another 6 months out of mine that way.
Dont think the kids are keen on my new one though they have called it "big jet" off little einsteins. Its got a really good wattage and suck up rate and have to admit seems to be twice as noisy as the old one but the muck it sucks up .
Quick update
Hoovering done
Littles room straightened after blinds fitted
Bathroom S & S
Beds made after airing
Must think about tea, may get the pork and apple burgers out of the freezer.
Still got to take DD1 to doctors, looks like it is going to come down in buckets so better dig their waterproofs out, me I'll just get wet!0
