    Evening Everyone

Not much flying done today but very productive otherwise. A few steps nearer organising our village fair (many thanks to Lil-me) and have finished 2 paintings (to sell at fair or take to local galleries), even managed HM pizza for littles! 2 wash loads done and dried but I'm not starting to iron now, do that tomorrow

    See you later

Paintings, wow galantvr4, multitalented :D wish I had the talent/patience

Well tonight was a nightmare!!!! There was a shed load of stock out of date, people buying and buying without checking. The shop makes VERY LITTLE but they are buying masses they don't use. So I got on the case. Have done a complete stock take and listed everything sold, noones ever done that. All now set up on spreadsheets so hopefully save me lots of time and effort.

Oh of course the cash and carry card will be a bonus for me, savings for the club will be minimal but mine will be higher.

House looks like a damn bomb site if I do say so myself, major sorting/decluttering will be done over the next few weeks, the kids have been warned they will be involved aswell, with the motivation/bribe of small rewards. They were catalogue browsing tonight after we went to Argos and saying 'Want/Need/Like that!' so we said right pick something to save your rewards for!

Right, time for bed I think, good night, see you all in the morning.
One day I might be more organised...........

    hello all

have had produtive day at friends, still awake as we had a pretty late night curry and i feel a bit too full to sleep, though i'm really tired now so sleep might win!

    today we:
went to ikea - bought loads
went to wilkos - lightshades, picture hanging stuff etc
i painted downstairs loo with leftover kitchen paint
    helped friend choose new carpet
    took dog for short walk

    tomorrow's plan:
    wilkos again - curtains, lightbulbs
bathroom clean - cillit bang is needed (just as a one off) as tiles are nasty
    second coat on downstairs loo
    look for pictures
    order OHs bday present
    check home answerphone
    check work email
suggest painting 1 or 2 smaller bedrooms with leftover paint
clean & hoover out my car
    put up washing line
    waste paper baskets
    order wardrobe online

well, that should be enough to be going on with! painters will turn up between 8 and 8.30 so i had better sleep...

  • Tinselfairy, happy belated birthday to you.

I've been playing around with mortgage figures to work out whether or not I could take on this house by myself, and it looks like I would be able to get the mortgage and would be able to afford the repayments. Though would living in a 3 bed, 2 reception room house by myself be a bit much ? Anyway, I'm refusing to make the decision before I know what is happening with being made manager at work.

Quick check in to say hi!

Rach - IKEA make it soooooo easy to buy stuff. My DH usually hits the zone around about the beds and then wants to buy everything!

Every time I think I can get on the Flylady plan, something else happens. I would love to just follow the list instead of having to hit rooms that have suddenly become urgent. Especially as DS is keeping me running. Speaking of which....
    Always another chapter

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all :hello:

Well I paid the Powergen bill off in full - I'd rather go overdrawn now and get OH to increase his payments to me by £50 a month (as of next payday) then try and find £105 every month! I'll drop the DD from £105 to £65 again as soon as they're online system will let me - hopefully before Friday as the payment is due out on the 1st  As for Wilkinsons - I had 4 transactions from them on my account, 3 that shouldn't have been there, I've just logged into the banking and they've refunded me 4 :rotfl: Looks like, unless something changes today, I've just got a suitcase & vanity case for DD for free :rotfl::rotfl:More good news is that OH's transfer to me will be clearing today so I can sleep knowing that the rent money will go out :o

Well yesterday was a no-show, I went for a bath just before 1pm and fell asleep until my alarm at 3pm went off :o So 2 hours wasted in the bath then I had to go to the post office, and Asda (and Aldi on my way past to grab some carbonara and cola cause theirs is so much nicer than Asda's cheap ones!) and arrived home at the same time as OH  By the time I'd made tea and put washing out, then washed up, it was time for me to settle down with Van Helsing & the ironing - it took me over 2 hours  However, the ironing is now caught up with, there is just the still damp stuff to dry & iron, plus some washing from today so OH can go away this weekend with something other than black clothing by order of his sister (and I have to agree :p) :rotfl:

    Plan for today
    • Dailies
    • Kitchen list
    • Livingroom List
    • Bedrooms
    • Bathroom - including demoulding.
    • DD's school work
    • Sit down and menu plan for next month!
Also needs doing but not necessarily today
    • Ironing
    • Go to DDs bank to get the £50 she owes me (I bought her 3 tops yesterday as they were in the sale so she can pay me half the cost ;) and keep the rest of the money for spends;))
    • PACK for overnight stay at ILs - I think there's the mention of going out on the town :eek:
Right, best go and get the dishes washed/put away and the kitchen done. *Puts music on*

Tinselfairy - the meal with family was lovely thankyou. My sister lives abroad so it's great when we can all get together.

Shirleypark - that's good news about the mortgage. At least it gives you more options about what you do even if you do decide to move.

Today I told my DD he could have a treat. He wants to go to macdonalds. I'm sure I saw some vouchers in the local paper. The last time he went was last december when he broke his collar bone so I can hardly say no even though I hate the food! Mmmm just had a thought...i'm sure it's just the toy he likes. If I let him take his pocket money to the toy shop maybe he's be just as happy. I'm a mean mum!

On the cleaning front I need to shift some dust!

    Speak later xx

    Nothing left!
  • Good morning everyone,

I didn't get a chance to pop back in last night - DH took me out for dinner at the village pub :D

I need to stay on top of stuff today in case we do go out tomorrow, so lots of cleaning and cooking this afternoon and then a large pile of my parents ironing this evening. In a wonderful bit of role-reversal my parents have a wardrobe of clothes here in our spare room. So when they come and stay they don't bring much, but leave behind a pile of washing and ironing for me :o. At Christmas I even got to use the immortal line "You treat this place like a hotel". So for those of you with kiddies - hold on for a few more years and it'll be pay-back time!!

I hope everyone has an ok day. Nicki I hope all your financial stuff gets sorted out (Oops our posts just crossed in the ether - glad things are looking better!). And hello to Solwaykid's mum!

    Catch you later

    • 27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Clean windows in these rooms
    • Sort one drawer, making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
    • Wipe tops of door frames, even if just what you can do in 5 minutes - DID YESTERDAY
    Have also done:-

    S & S Kitchen
    Hoovered through (well about to)

Thats about it, doesnt seem much feels like I have not stopped this morning. We did make cakes yesterday, yellow icing for DD2 and pink for DD1. Does nowhere sell jelly tots anymore? went into Somerfield to get some to decorate cakes and nothing. Kids saw a cake mix (fifi) and said we can do that, err I dont think so! I am turning tight, no way was I paying nearly £2 for something that I could make for pennies at home.

Shirley park - good news that buying the house could be an option for you. Have you thought about maybe getting a lodger if you think the house is too big just for you?

Lil_me - I have a booker card that I got when I was treasurer of a toddler group I have never got round to using it though, from the flyers I got wasnt sure if I would save money, let us know if you find a difference.

Off to story time at the library at 11am so that should kill an hour then it will be lunch time. Weather looks like it could rain at any mo so I think it may be a sticking and glueing session this afternoon, followed by a helping mummy chop the veggies for the roast tonight.

Right best get the hoover out.
