Hiya
Sexymouse - that's quick recovery for amputation isn't it. We had to brothers who had dislocating kneecaps on their back legs. After the operation they had to be in cages for 6 weeks. They were so mad at us!
Lil_me - wow, you've been busy. It'll be good when you get the cash and carry cards, bonus!
I've caught up with the washing and am just about to put the last wash in. The place is tidy though could probably be cleaner so I need to work on that. I'm sure my school report would be 'must try harder'.
Pigpen - your report would say 'needs to stop singing and concentrate more!' though you did make me laugh as you sound just like me when I start tidying.
Have a nice evening, it's lovely and warm and sunny here xxJanuary budget

Evening folks!
Happyathome, Nice to see you back. I had a nosey too - that's a smashing thing to do and agree with Michelle, it's nice to put a face to a name too!
Tinsel, happy belated birthday tooo yooou.
Sexymouse, I'm sure your moggy will adapt and re-learn his balance. Not quite the same but we had a 3 legged goat who still leapt around the field and stood for milking no bother!
Nicki, it really did go from bad to worse, have a hug and I hope it gets resolved. The utilities direct debit people really take the p***. They're quick to up it when you're behind but you have to put up a right fight to get it reduced when you're in credit.
A super long day at work for me, I've been out of the house for almost 12 hours and I think I'm more knack'd than I realise. For no reason that I could think of I burst into tears and had to have 10 mins in the loos until I thought I could stop. The house looks a tip but I think half an hour might right it and to cap it all nicely FatBob's nicely healed fight wound has become infected again. His front paw has ballooned and the vet's isn't open this evening.
I may take to drink..
Going to see what half an hour of my time can sort then I'll decide about the drink. Actually I've only got 2 little bottles of beer in and no chocolate either. Melodramatic sob.
Catch up with you later, have a good evening. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

I'm feeling shattered. I haven't really stopped all day doing one thing or another, but not really achieving a lot. I'm pleased though because charlie had fun, and also ate proper food all day rather than the junk i occasionally slip him. He's in bed but still nattering away, so i thought i would check up on my list and keep quiet in the hope he will doze off sooner rather than later. I really don't want to make a start on dinner, but i suppose that should be next on my list as it won't make itself.

Evening everyone!
I've been working today, as the sun was shining again, after rain continuously from 1pm until late in the night. So far, there isn't any flooding around here. My parents live in a valley with a river, but only the lower end of their garden floods - usually in the winter, this is the first time it's happened in July!
Last day of school tomorrow for my three. DS2 and DD are both out at friends and staying over ( I originally wrote 'sleeping over' but think that's unlikely!), so a peaceful time for DS1, OH and me.
I have very ambitious plans to redecorate the hall, stairs and landing in the first two weeks. I'll let you know if I do!
Very little flying today, will have time to catch up over the beginning of the holiday, and hopefully get the allotment tidied as well!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Hiya
Well I need to do some serious cleaning tomorrow. Some friends have invited themselves round tomorrow night because I'm on my own with DS. It'll be lovely to see them but I really do have to clean now. The problem with the place being tidy is that there's nothing to hide the dust!!!!!
Going to have a glass of wine and think about what needs to be done tomorrow. Night all xxJanuary budget

I did my half hour but not much off today's list. Had one beer (that wasn't on the list but hey ho..) and have just larked about on the Net. Must try harder tomorrow.
I think I've recruited a new OSer! Obviously I've been banging on to all and sundry about this site and OS in particular and it seems to have rubbed off on my Mum. She rang me tonight to quiz me about the grocery challenges, admitted she'd been following the WWII rations thread and she's now a registered user.:T I know she'd LOVE this thread (obviously my mother's daughter) but if I start minding my Ps and Qs it's because I think she's worked out my user name
Anyhow, I'm dead chuffed and just wanted to share that with you. Hope you don't mind

Thanks for the belated happy birthday wishes.
sexymouse- hope your kitty gets better very soon.
LJD- did you have a lovely lunch out today with your family?
aimee and happy at home- great photos, thanks for sharing with us all
solway- pleased you felt better after a half hour tidy and of course a quick beer!
serena- good luck with the decorating
pigpen- i was singing along to Elvis this morning as I was tackling the chores, but I am a dreadful singer so my neighbours definitely wouldn't have appreciated that!
Today I have managed to do everything I wanted apart from hoover the lounge. The window is in desperate need of a clean but DH will hopefully do that tomorrow before he trots off to work.
Went to town and bought my mum's birthday present in Debenhams, then to Primark and bought the perfect top to go with my new skirt and then a trip to the park where DS bumped into a friend he hasn't seen for 6 months, so a very successful trip out all in all.
I hope this makes you giggle. Earlier DS was on the computer and asked me how to find photos of cats. I talked him through getting to google and clicking on images. How do you spell !!!!! he asked? I told him he'd probably have more of a selection if he just put in cats, can you imagine what it might have thrown up otherwise?!!:rotfl:...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
