I think you are perhaps a little paranoid ;)
Sometimes life takes over and posting on an internet forum is not a priority.
I don't read or post on these forums everyday because I have a real life (with real friends) that frankly is more important. Does that mean that everytime I post you should be smelling a rat?

Not everyone with a low post count is a troll you know :D !

The troll thing hadn't crossed my mind.

I was thinking more that she was floating on a cloud of antidepressants during the holiday and suddenly her OH has found the gumption to tell his horrid family where to go. And in 3 weeks all is suddenly rosy? - people don't change that fast! Personally, I think we are going to see this story again (and I hope I'm wrong).

From my POV, westernpromise's advice was spot on.

Anyhow, best of luck to the OP; she's certainly had a rotten deal thus far.
    Good, clean fun.... :D

When I read your "smell a rat" post, I knew what you meant & to be honest I thought you might be right too (unfortunatly).
Anyway BEST OF LUCK to the OP.

Oh right! I do apologise! :o There has been so much talk of trolls lately that I thought you'd just jumped on the bandwaggon!

I must admit I do agree with you. We will see this story again, but it's not the first thread where I think that.

I sometimes despair when I read thread about relationships with partners! People can be so.... trusting and forgiving!

Perhaps we should read this thread as the OP was depressed so she saw everything very very badly and now she has a better view of things? Or perhaps the treatment is distorting her view of reality?

I don't know... we only ever get a snapshot of these stories don't we?

people who suffer depression often feel low self worth, low self esteem, and have the inability to cope with everyday circumstances. the post is 4 months on so i suspect that the op feels better about most things in her life with the aid of anti depressants.

just as an example, Post natal depression is a classic example of how peoples attitudes can change in a short period of time, mother can be quite excited about impending birth etc, lots of preparation etc. and when baby comes along, feelings of despair and inability to cope / love kick in. some mothers cannot bear to be near their child for whatever reason.
With help a mum can feel better quite rapidly with a little help, albeit physical, chemical and or mental help.

i suspect that the op probably has had PND in the past which was untreated, and the situation has got worse.
