Thanks blin. I too love a good mushroom or 10.

If you're feeling decadent, stuff cabbage leaves with chopped mushrooms, including some ceps and a black truffle. Close them with cocktail sticks and steam.

Nom, nom, nom. Really good with beef.

Perhaps that's what you should call your new venture?

    The Nom,nom,nom Food Company.

Good luck with the venture Gen - will we see you on dragon's den in a few months' time trying to sell 2% of your business to Duncan Bannatyne for £8 million?!

Does Australia have it's own version of Dragons Den? I assume it would be like ours but with a bit more swearing.

Just back from a week in Cyprus- probably our last holiday for a while I imagine. We didn't leave the hotel grounds and just rotted by the pool (under an umbrella as both of is burn within 8 seconds of going in the sun).

One thing I have resolved is that I will not be allowing my children to play with their ipad on an aeroplane without headphones on. Must be about the most annoying thing ever.

There was a couple with twins who looked about 2 (+ a newborn) on our way back. With about an hour to go, the mum was just staring out the window muttering to herself and trying to pretend the screaming wasn't happening and the dad was just sitting there with his head in his hands, rocking as much as his economy seat pitch would allow! I guess that's my life from now on, except worse as OH wants to fly them to Oz every six months. I reckon she'll acquiesce after the first time we try it!

Flying to Oz with a baby is a nightmare.

Last time we flew back there was a baby that was inconsolable, just sobbing. The poor mother was getting more and more stressed which wasn't helping the situation at all. In the end Mrs Generali stepped in and took the baby off Mum for an hour to give both parties a chance to calm down.

I flew both ways alone with a 3 & 5 y/o and it was fine. They had unfettered access to TV which was great as far as they were concerned. The Girl couldn't operate the remote and was sitting next to a Random Old Lady. Each time Mickey Mouse Clubhouse finished The Girl'd nudge ROL who would reset the program for her. The Girl must have watched that same program 30 times on the flight.

Actually it's quite good flying with kids once they're older than 2 because they get the space an adult gets but take up no room at all. Babies though? Nightmare. Get the rellies to come to you until Baby is 2.

As for European holidays, we used to take the Eurostar and rent a car and a gite at the other end.

    The Nom,nom,nom Food Company.

I discovered something many years ago via filing for a large international bank: successful companies tend to start with letters towards the beginning of the alphabet. Aussie Nom perhaps...?

You can guarantee that I'll be on here to ask for help with naming.

Timescale is that I work for current mob until 13/4/15 and then set up the business on 1/7/15 as that's the start of the tax year so maximises my write offs.

No it doesn't. Dragon's Bloody Den would be great though.

Generali, this new venture is named after the dancing angels, isn't it? Please.

Did you say your work contract has been extended by 3 months? Are they having second thoughts?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    I'm traumatised

I always check DDs hair for nits. After last week's marathon head combing eggs that I'd found out of her hair, I've gone to re-treat today and her head is full of lice of varying sizes. I feel sick. I must have caught it a bit early last week, I don't know, but this a totally different experience.

Misery. I treated myself yesterday again but I can't comb my own hair through. I feel horrible :(
