    Happy birthday Gen :bdaycake:

You had your op on your birthday last year?? Not a good day for it at the time, but possibly quite nice this year and for years to come to be celebrating both things at the same time??

Am enjoying "magic week" - ie the week when I (at an independent school) have broken up but my kids (at state schools) have not. :D Have been doing a lot of sleeping. Body clock now completely out of sync with reality, but just enjoying 4 days of doing pretty much nothing, so don't really care. :D

Got diagnosed on my wedding anniversary, the 20th and had the op on my birthday. It was what we economists call, 'bloody horrible'.

I'm having a lovely day. First I went through a mobile speed trap at 15kmh over the limit and the copper just waved me on. Then off for a nice bacon and egg roll (really very nice actually).

Then I tried out a new pool for the after brekkie swim at a place called Drummoyne, on the river up from the harbour.

On to a local electrical chain (think Dixons) to look at laptops. I bought one from them for $200+ less than they bought it for and $250 less than I could get it for online. Plus they paid me a dollar to take one of those mobile phone external batteries thingies. Now I'm off to pick up the Generalissimos to take them for their swimming lesson followed by toad in the hole with onion gravy for dinner. Nom, nom, nom.

Happy birthday Gen. So glad today is working out better for you than the previous year, but equally glad that you went through it so that you are still here. May there be many more happy birthdays in the future as a result.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Woke up thinking ' my lips feel really dry and sore and maybe I'm getting a cold sore' checked the mirror and wow, they are swollen. Goodness knows what's caused that but its even and regular and I look like I have had aesthetic surgeons help to my top lip. So I've covered them with vitamin e oil and decided it will be fun for a while to try on different lips that are symmetrical!
