I don't know what is going on with house prices here. One of my neighbours put their house up for sale a month or so back. They then put the price up by a further £15k and it went under offer. The properties that have gone on the market since (not here, but nearby) are now even more than that.

So much for zero inflation. Not in Herts.

It's ghastly, though thankfully very rare.

DrTifosi thinks most likely scenarios are either severe cabin fire or explosive decompression. He was quick to say that while the latter is the correct term, catastrophic decompression could be a better way of putting it, as it is does not infer terrorism. Mid flight plane losses - in spite of the two Malaysian planes - are extremely unusual. Normally when there is an awful event like this he's pretty quick at working out what happened, this time round he's scratching his head a bit.
Definitely looked like a controlled rapid decent rather than a break up inflight which I think is standard for decompression but then the question is why no level out when at breathable altitude, could be they wanted to but controls did not respond or perhaps in the heat of the moment they forgot about the height of the terrain, the initial radar trace on the bbc seemed to show a level off just before impact?
    I think....

And yet we are seeing many more price reductions than sales only a short distance away, only the cheap end of the market below 400k seems to be moving/appreciating.

How many have you got now?
Do you think you have more or less than michaels?
How many do we think he has?

Some of us struggled a lifetime to get one little 'un :)

Remember that there are 2 of us and we benefited greatly by meeting young and buying early.

    We have:

    1. the home we live in
    2. the one we bought at the same time as our home in order to keep the chain together
    3. the holiday flat overseas

This would be the first one we have bought as a definite buy-to-let. The incentive is the carp interest rates on savings.

Same round here. We have almost got to the stupid situation where very modern tiny 2 bed flats are fetching the same price as older 3 bed terraced houses.

Thanks silvercar. How did you know?

Even if the cannabis doesn't cure you it will make you feel an awful lot better about things.
