Thoughts and hugs and prayers for all the Tifosi family from me.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

But then you'd pass the dales and the moors and they are just so beautiful. I think Yorkshire is a stunning place. Especially just north of Leeds and out towards Harrogate. That's my favourite bit so far.
Wit that kind of correct thinking, you could almost be an honorary Yorkshire person. They wake up in the middle of the night and think 'Bugslet is such a wonderful boss! I must tell her immediately.'
No, they like to torture me:(. Though in fairness they ring about things like blowouts in Luxemburg and confused ferry personeel not letting them on board.vivatifosi wrote: »On another thread, people have been asked what they would do if they were chancellor. One said that they would hit foreign companies hard if they didn't pay tax here (I'm inferring that they mean Corp Tax and not vat, employers paye etc).
I shouldn't hang out in DT. Economic debate is better here.
I had to enlighten about illegals on trucks - so easy to make sweeping statements.
Best wishes to you and Dr Tifosi.0 -
Just spoke to GP. I'm going to try supplements on vit d for three months. See if I can absorb them. Still seems odd to me that my skin is ' intolerant to sun' and now I need to swallow vit d that I may or may not me able to absorb. Well, worth a go. At least starting while I feel on a bit of a high
He said, really, what this test shows is that we have to listen to you more clearly when you say you feel fatigue of different types of exhaustion. He's all about the self flagellation ATM.
Anyway, apparently its another problem with not being clear where normal limits are and that people's 'walls' are normally at a vit d level higher than this.
I fainted yesterday. Not a collapse, just a good old fashioned faint, I think its from feeling a bit energised by stress hormones ATM. I have more vigour than usual. Generally, truth be told, since the fir stress started I feel pretty good. My natural sweet spot is I think, being more stressed and challenged. The rush suits me.0 -

That is sad news, viva, and I'd just like to agree that, as Gen says, there is nothing you could have done. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Viva, I am sorry for your loss, no value in being cross just consumes emotional energy.
My mum was an ex smoker, but it was not wearing her personal alarm that was her contribution to her death when she fell in the bathroom.0
