Previously I had assumed Clarkson's antics were part of his 'stage act / brand' but obviously assault is a different matter (although apparently OK for Gordon Brown as Primeminister). There seems to be some odd timing around when the alleged incident tok place and when it was reported to the BBC management?I think....0

Searched for Cook, and bingo! You did say not to quote, but I skipped past that bit.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Been thinking more about this. I think the "sci, ad sci, further ad sci" is going to look like "loads of the same thing" to future potential employers, whereas the same content packaged as "bio, chem, phys" just looks normal.
Am intending to ask if he can not "cash in" his science GCSE at the end of Y10 but carry the modules over to make part of phys, chem and bio GCSEs at the end of Y11.
Will let you know what happens.
You are the expert, but I thought once cashed in the modules were used up. What I would have thought you would have wanted to do was carry them all over and then cash them in in groups of phys, chem, bio rather than groups of sci, ad sci, furth sci.
So B1+B2+B3 = Biology etc rather than B1+C1+P1=science etc.
I know with A level maths, further maths etc the students would calculate which way round would give them the highest grades overall because each unit could only be used once and different groupings would lead to crossing different grade boundaries.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. He's an oaf.
I agree, but then they knew he was an oaf when they took him on. Now they are surprised that he has behaved like an oaf?
I'm surprised they didn't decide to use everything that has already been filmed and then dump him.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. That's an interesting point. Would it make a difference to a grade? ie could it lead to 3 As one way and something else if you cut the same cake differently, if he is better or weaker in one main subject?

Recording and airing are fast. They were scheduled today to film this Sunday's episode, so it's not like the rest was in the bag etc. They had already used what'd been filmed last week on Sunday gone.0 -

Now, this time, definitely, you did not say not to quote! But I used my discretion.
Today's an exciting day for three reasons:
DW had her interview. 5 people being interviewed for the job, so she does not have high hopes. So much work goes into being interviewed!
The residents association sent me a full colour printed invitation to attend the AGM. :j:j So, it's not just the council who spend money on colourful literature when b/w would do better.
I received my 5hit kit. I have a little card, and I have to smear a sample of my 5hit on it five days in a row. They then check it for blood. It's a free NHS service, so not to be sniffed at.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

If I have understood your post correctly, you appear to be recommending that I should do exactly what I want to do, and what I thought I had said that I want to do. At least one of us is not understanding the other one clearly, but I suspect that we are actually in agreement! Possibly you missed the "not" before the "cash in" in my post???
ETA By "loads of the same thing" I meant "too much repetition" and by "normal" I meant "solid respectable subjects that everyone can recognise whether they work in education or not".That's an interesting point. I don't know whether you can do that at GCSE or not. It would definitely be worth looking into it in plenty of time before we get to that point. There are people at my school I can ask. I'll ask them.
He's probably strongest in phys, then chem, then bio. He certainly likes them in that order of preference. (Hmmm I wonder where he gets that from???)
...not to be sniffed at.
:rotfl:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

The rate of non participation is high, not surprisingly. I wonder how accurate it is?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Probably. Private schools are very good at allowing people not to cash in, anecdotedly state schools make it very difficult - just worth enquiring if they will let you.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
