Yes it involves emailing all the local pet stores a photo of the sick hamster and asking them if they have a similar one in stock.
Mean! I can't thank that.
Apparently, yes, you can indeed insure your hamster or guinea piggle: http://www.gocompare.com/pet-insurance/small-mammal-insurance/0 -

We tried that with a goldfish once and failed miserably.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Why am I not surprised?
Pleased to hear that everyone is being so positive about this.
Thank you. TBH it took me several years after I started working there to accept that my department feel so positively about me. Intuitively, it feels to me that I am a bit of a nuisance to them really - being part time and not available to do a 100% FT job, being extremely limited in how much I can contribute to extra-curricular stuff, repetitively needing support and special understanding as one disaster after another has befallen me over the years, and now being at less than full normal operating capacity mentally because of my burn-out issues. I'm well aware that most of that is not my fault, but from school's PoV I feel I'm nowhere near as valuable an asset as the straightforward full timers with "normal" and uncomplicated lives. I have come to accept that they don't perceive me like that, for which I am very grateful, although I really don't understand why they don't. However, there is no need for the NP to attempt to explain it to me.How does your DS feel about fitting in his options this way?
Pretty positive. He has agreed with me from the start that it is a pity they don't offer triple science and that he would have picked it if they had. He likes being taught by me and says he finds me easier to learn from than some of his teachers at school. He likes being in the study support group and hanging out with the other dyslexic kids - it gives him some variety to spend part of his day or week with people that are academically bright like him but next to whom he feels disadvantaged by his dyslexia, and part of his week with the SEN group who share his struggles and also have other struggles that he doesn't, so that he has the opposite experience, and feels he's finding things easier than the others.Yes it involves emailing all the local pet stores a photo of the sick hamster and asking them if they have a similar one in stock.
People suggested that when DD's first hamster died. I'm way past that with my kids, though. A child who's faced up to the deaths of (in chronological order) the dog, her dad and her granny understands that death happens, so you can and should be honest when the hamster dies.PasturesNew wrote: »Don't quote, will delete:
I tried to read that out to DS but it took me a couple of attempts because I was laughing so hard. :rotfl:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

It seems a great shame to delete it. Do you really have to?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I took Mrs Generali to see Kingsmen today. There's a film that's a lot of fun. I checked out the prices in the kiosk. $18 to get in, $19.95 special offer for 2 frozen cokes and 2 'small' popcorns. I opted for the $6 bacon and egg roll0

I thought this was quite amusing. Not ones for fans of Apple twaddle:0 -
Why would anyone pay that much for a watch with an 18 hour battery life?
Not an Apple fan, did find that very funny.
