Love the long narrow rooms, not, plus the incongruous look compared to all the neighbours especially in the back yeard shots.

And having grwon up with a swimming pool I can tell you that you do not want to surround it with grass because it will get muddy, the dirt will get into the pool and the chemicals will kill the grass.

There's no fence around the pool! Apparently, a big big safety issue if there are small kids around.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

A criminal act in NSW to have a pool made after about 1982 without a proper pool fence. People go to prison for it regularly.

This seems a bit tough on those of us childless who might want to have a pool we can wander straight too from a house in a fenced garden .....to have to fence the pool separately. None of the places I lived in with a pool ( or garden pond) were they fenced off separately apart from here where the lagoon is fenced off with warning signs about poisonous gases. :). Nor was I ever fenced off from the sea.

It is also the law in France. There are stories of toddlers visiting/wandering into gardens and drowning although usually in ponds....

Youngest has started drawing again! He was always very talented at it and has in fact sold work in the past but something happened at school years ago (no idea what, still can't get it out of him) and he stopped, absolutely completely refused to pick up a pencil again.

James got him a notebook for Christmas to jot down his invention ideas (they were the only things he would draw, plans and maps) and in the last few days, he has started doing his artwork again.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

You lot were chatty last night. It's bad enough with everyone here being on holiday without it then appearing that none of you are going to work either.

When did that happen? I can think of several places I've been to in the past that were not. Long past mind you. Fencing them would have really ruined the vibe of the landscaping though. :o. ( in adult only households again...well, apart from visiting kids like I was.)

The house I stayed in most often had no pool, but I used to walk through a ruined hamlet down a hill to swim in the river. Much better than a pool anyday. I used to play with the farmer's sons when they weren't working and we used to race and scream and splash and swing of trees and generally behave like animals.

That's absolutely fabulous news! :j Drawing can be such a great lose yourself activity - just get lost in the looking and translating into lines and blocks of colour (if you're into colour drawing). Time out stuff.

Need to get back to it myself, really miss it, but Life Keeps Happening in various ways so haven't managed to get back to the art work yet. <weep> But all things pass, so live in hopes will manage sometime, hopefully soonish.

Spirit, how goes things for you? Is the jaundice fading? Been sending you the vibes from our front porch - seen some good stuff like Sirius and the ISS and Orion when out there to Vibe. :) Anyway, I'm thinking of you and hoping you're feeling better. Hope your docs manage to find out what's causing the problem and can help. Gentle hugs from Liverpool.

That style always reminds me of the big houses gypsies build when they move out of their caravans. It might have square footage, but it's got nothing good looking going on.
