Good night all, and thanks again for the support! :T

    Well done Lydia.

With that sort of performance, there would be no shouting at all if you were to take up a career as a minion...

    Well done LydiaJ, good work.

It's really sweaty and horrid here today. 28C with showers. The humidity is dreadful.

You lot were chatty last night. It's bad enough with everyone here being on holiday without it then appearing that none of you are going to work either.
    I think....

    I've been Money Tipped!
Good NHs story: jumped queue for bloods this morning because no one else had turned up to their phlebotomy appts. Stupid idiots. Anyway, meant my half hour with a book didn't happen. I'd purposely booked something after other people would be at work, got done before other people would need to be at work.

I think having a place to randomly post %age updates is motivating. If you're doing it alone, without the measure, it's harder to go on.... but doing the next one, the next one, posting a %age, reading the posts since the last one, then getting back to the next one, the next one, is a great way of plodding on.

    I'm working at home today.

Mostly loads of emails and reports to catch up on with a couple of conference calls thrown in. Nice change from all the travel lately.

For my amusement - and anyone else that saw ch4 Double your money.

That house near me, that they over extended, with the teeny garden and the staircase that floats.

    ....

    and halve the price!

Hey! An awful lot of last night's chat was about the work that I was doing late into the [STRIKE]evening[/STRIKE] small hours, and Hamish tells us he's been working so hard (and travelling with it) that this is the first time he's logged in to the NPT for weeks.

Yes! Exactly that. Thank you for explaining so succinctly. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    K for kwote???

We looked at loads of Aussie new builds at the weekend and it looks a lot like one of those inside: pointlessly massive.

This is one we saw. Almost 3,000 ft^2. If the land is cheap then it's actually quite a cheap house.

Love the long narrow rooms, not, plus the incongruous look compared to all the neighbours especially in the back yeard shots.

And having grwon up with a swimming pool I can tell you that you do not want to surround it with grass because it will get muddy, the dirt will get into the pool and the chemicals will kill the grass.
    I think....
