And be ready for the surprise sudden gush of water into the system and the speed it refills at, which took just 3-4 seconds.
The first spotted grey thingies were the right ones. The later-spotted bigger black ones that then became "the ones" in my mind were the wrong ones, so I was right to wait it out.
God only knows what would've happened if I'd just given up and turned the big black ones
If you had turned the wrong knobs, nothing would have happened. You would have turned off the flow and return, which would have had no effect, as the boiler is off.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Which would be worthy of a choccy biscuit.
Our favourite is also dark choc digestive, preferably kept in the fridge.
Already eaten it! In fact there is now only one left, so I'm saving that for when I've finished the lot.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

This is the Night Mail crossing the border,
Bringing the cheque and the postal order,
Letters for the rich, letters for the poor,
The shop at the corner and the girl next door.
Pulling up Beattock, a steady climb:
The gradient's against her, but she's on time.
Past cotton-grass and moorland boulder
Shovelling white steam over her shoulder,
Snorting noisily as she passes
Silent miles of wind-bent grasses.
I can well imagine you shovelling white steam over your shoulder. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I can stay up as late as I like tonight and sleep without an alarm tomorrow morning - unless next door's building work wakes me up.
