Welcome to London, Mas!
Lived here before?
Thank you! And it is indeed, liking it so far.
I start the new job at 10  so just did the commute as if I was starting at 9 and treated myself to a macdonalds breakfast, better than i expected it to be.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

They paid. I suppose they will pay again at some future date. Money no object to them, they are a big organisation.
DS2 rushed out to buy a new suit in the week, after realising that his current suit is at home. Also the incidental expenses of being away. Plus the lectures missed/ hassle factor.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Before my mobility issues struck, I could walk for Britain with no hint of being out of puff. Now, I still have the puff but the pain gets to me before I am in any risk of running out of it.
There was one funny time in my younger days, I was by no means fat but had a few extra pounds (not too many though) and my friend was a real skinny minny who kept going on about how much healthier she was than me (she was a size 8, I was a 12). We had just bought shopping and started on the uphill walk home, she was out of puff in minutes with one bag of shopping and no buggy, I was still going strong with several bags of shopping and a double buggy with kids in!
She thought it most unfair :rotfl:
Our scales weigh slightly differently depending how you distribute your weight as you stand on them.
I am the living embodiment that just because your bmi is ok doesn't mean you are not the least healthy person in the room. We have some of those scales that claim to tell you about water, body fat, muscle % etc...sadly they can see past the bmi and know the truth - perhaps I am just [STRIKE]30[/STRIKE]40 years to young for my phsique?I think....0 -

....sadly they can see past the bmi and know the truth ...
BMI is a good indicator, except for hardened athletes - but the fatties use "Oh BMI's not an indicator" to excuse the fact they're, well, fat.
BMI is a good indicator - as is the amount of belly overhang you know you've got (even when you breathe in).
If you eat too much and/or exercise too little, then 99% of the time you'll be overweight. That's a fact of life. There are few people who are genuinely the size they are PURELY due to medical reasons; most fatties use those people's situation to explain their weight, while we all know they secretly eat too many pies because we've seen what they eat and we know they're eating too much. They just fool themselves into believing what they eat is normal portions and 'healthy'. Adding a side salad to a plate of chips doesn't make it healthy!0 -

Not innocent.
This may explain why I've not lost weight actually!
Mrs Generali bought a tray of mangos and a bag of oranges the other day so I made mango and orange sorbet. Nom, nom, nom.
I think someone (LIR/Viva? LIR I think) suggested when I had cancer that I write a family cookbook. What do people think about that? Presumably I could self publish via pdf or something.0
