Glad you found warmth in a good pie PN I now have a steak and kidney pudding craving I must indulge before the end of February.

After the pie'd warmed me up, I turned the thermostat right down/off, so heating's not been on since then - and I'm so warm and toasty I've even had to remove my socks :)

Yesterday, according to my Misfit Flash, I walked 14600 steps and burned a total of 2950 Calories. According to my food diary stored on my hand held electronic gadget I ate 1150 Calories. So, it comes as no surprise at all, life being a b1tch sometimes, that between yesterday morning and this morning I put on a pound. :/

It's about time we acknowledged the superpowers of pies.

Having just returned from Hull (where SS is at Uni) where there is a Cafe named PIE (which previously has been #1 in TripAdvisor for that City) I can vouch for that.

P.S. For anyone wondering the best Restaurant in Hull is 1884 Dock Street

Apparently the place to go in 'Ull is China Palace, John Prescott's favourite restaurant.

I've not been so can't confirm but according to the Coren review in The Times, the food is v mediocre however you can get some really good vintage champers for far less than you can buy it from a wine merchant. It seems that they just have a fixed mark-up on their wine which is, I'm sure you'll agree, jolly decent of them.

I wish! I've just had a big mug of coffee, so the gain has probably turned into two pounds now. I daren't look.

Edit.. I did, and it has! Obsessive? Never!

Check daily if you like, ( I certainly used to and found it helped me) but only 'count' weekly changes. I know the male body is more stable than the female one but still......Weigh yourself over a day and the changes are astounding. That's why you should try and weigh yourself at the same time each week for 'the reading that counts'. Over a monthish and its not surprising some women feel not in control of their bodies.

I have been wearing a fitness band for over a month now and have been pleasantly surprised at how much exercise I get just from my daily activity. My job is not a sedentary one, there's a lot of moving about, plus I have to walk from where I park my car to work which is some distance. It's only really the weekends where I need to up the ante.

Though because my cardio has improved since I started doing this, I often don't manage to hit the cardio target. However in the past I would have puffed as I walked up hill for half a mile, now I can bound up it, so I'm less worried about that and see it as more symptomatic of improved fitness anyway.

I've gained 1kg (2lb) since after Christmas but before New Year.

Gutted, as I was hoping that I'd lost some, but still more than 3st lighter than a year ago.

Higher end of the 'ideal weight' for my height is 85kg, and current weight is 106kg, so 24 down, 21 to go :D
