Oh, guys.
I'm supposed to be having some documents delivered to home by UPS at some point today, but need to pop out for about an hour this morning.
Should I be ok with a note on the door asking them to deliver to the shop? Only issue is I haven't been given a tracking number and it's too late to phone the sender (2am late)💙💛 💔0 -
Yesterday, according to my Misfit Flash, I walked 14600 steps and burned a total of 2950 Calories. According to my food diary stored on my hand held electronic gadget I ate 1150 Calories. So, it comes as no surprise at all, life being a b1tch sometimes, that between yesterday morning and this morning I put on a pound.
What with the variations of hydration level and mass of gut contents, that's a lot smaller than the uncertainty of the measurement. Don't let it get to you.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

My job is not a sedentary one, there's a lot of moving about, plus I have to walk from where I park my car to work which is some distance. It's only really the weekends where I need to up the ante.
Though because my cardio has improved since I started doing this, I often don't manage to hit the cardio target. However in the past I would have puffed as I walked up hill for half a mile, now I can bound up it, so I'm less worried about that and see it as more symptomatic of improved fitness anyway.
Before my mobility issues struck, I could walk for Britain with no hint of being out of puff. Now, I still have the puff but the pain gets to me before I am in any risk of running out of it.
There was one funny time in my younger days, I was by no means fat but had a few extra pounds (not too many though) and my friend was a real skinny minny who kept going on about how much healthier she was than me (she was a size 8, I was a 12). We had just bought shopping and started on the uphill walk home, she was out of puff in minutes with one bag of shopping and no buggy, I was still going strong with several bags of shopping and a double buggy with kids in!
She thought it most unfair :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Gutted, as I was hoping that I'd lost some, but still more than 3st lighter than a year ago.
Higher end of the 'ideal weight' for my height is 85kg, and current weight is 106kg, so 24 down, 21 to go
I'm hoping to gain 6" in height so I am no longer overweight.0 -

I find weight loss/gain seems to be 2-3 days behind what I did/ate ... which is why many people don't eat much for 2-3 days then give up as they've seen no weight loss on the scales. I've noticed, sometimes, that if I've scoffed myself silly for 2-3 days then weighed myself there's been no weight gain - and then I have to stop myself and tell myself "No, it WILL catch up, so stop it now".0 -

I have an acquaintance who is a personal trainer of the 'look good ' kind not one with an interest in health or anything. They do however have an interest in all the tricks to help keeping them looking good. I understand there is some way in training in which carb loading includes timed trips to macdonalds to help lower weight or flatten stomach or something. Because its out of my interest area I'm afraid I don 'to pay any attention.0 -
DW has done her Anschluss of the bathroom again. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

:mad:DS2 had an interview today for a summer internship. One of those all day interview sessions. So he got excused from lectures, spent over 3 hours on a train yesterday, booked into the hotel. Then received an email to say "sorry for late notice, but we double booked rooms for the day so have to reschedule." he now has to wait for his timed train to travel 200 miles south again. Plus he had rushed out this week to buy a new suit for the interview. :mad:I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
