The cat has broken into the bag that had the chicken breasts in, and has nibbled one of them. OH has just thrown the chicken in the bin. I thought the cat should have had it as she was obviously enjoying it.

Yeah, I'd give it to the cat. Shame to waste it. Can't punish the cat for being smarter than the humans.0 -

Interestingly, or not, when you look at the calories in a Giant Yorkie, it's about 300 - so I've always figured that getting a Giant one and filling it with veg and a spot of gravy's not too bad. Of course, that'd be without mash and other goodies stuffed in it like sausages. But it'd fill a plate and look/feel like a proper big dinner.
Without wanting to be too Indiscrete somethings come back up with more ease and comfort than others. You'd think once chewed all food was pretty much equal on a return journey but its not so.:o
Also, if spirit has jaundice she's probably avoiding excess of 'naughties' to give her liver the easiest time possible while still eating stuff she can.0 -

Couldn't have put it better myself

I would have given it to her too, and saved on cat food for a bit.
My cats scream in the mornings until they get their wings.. Its most unladylike behaviour.

I've never understood most carvery meals' reluctance to put the yorkies out. Some are a chef-dispensed item, just one if you have beef. Others offer a meal upgrade where you get more meat and another yorkie if you pay £X more.
How mean .... one carvery I liked and would visit on Xmas Eve for a few years had them out on the buffet, so you could help yourself, so I always started with 3.0 -

Sensible policy, to limit them. They are filling and cheap and popular. Make people pay for an upgrade on them becUse they are so popular you'll inevitably get takers I guess, so a profit on low outlay?0 -

But they're cheap, fill the plate and make customers happy, so it'd be better for them to fill their plate with cheap things you can make in the kitchen from basic cupboard ingredients, than more expensive things you have to actively buy in and worry about storing/running out/quality/prepping them time.0 -
Quiz time (please let me know if you can see the image)I think....0
