That was nice. I just went for a massage. 30 minutes is $35 but the health fund pays the first $32 of any alternative therapies up to $250/year (from memory). Hey presto! A $3 massage and a much nicer feeling back.
Very pretty masseuse too. :A. No extras obviously although there are 'massage' places that get busted now and again for offering a ham shank on your health insurance.0 -
I have to say I know very little about the subject but do think the ones which have been completely plucked then drawn on some where different look ridiculous....
I agree, my eyebrows fell out, I didn't pluck them out.. The first bit of them still is fine...they just......Peter out .
Annoyingly I still get stray hairs:rotfl:0 -
I'm always messing with then, so consequently they are now too thin for current fashion and I don't know how to get them to a greater width without going through an unkempt stage in between.
This is why I'm wary of doing anything to mine. Every so often I wonder if people will be thinking they look weird or unkempt being left completely natural, but then I decide they're not that bad and I'm too scared of getting stuck with a lifetime of maintenance to try anything.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

There is a half way house than nothing and fashion! There is just keeping on top of stray hairs, and anything below browline where make up should go.
Fashion eyebrows of any extreme are IMO a little odd, but a well kept brow, confined with in its own structure is more like a hedge in a garden cut in to a loosely neat shape every now and then than extreme topiary. Rather than being an object of curiosity in its own right it frames the face, and doesn't obscure the rest of what's going on, and allows people to pass enjoyably to what is important.
You don't tame those things on some people and you cannot make your way to the front door, let alone enjoy the garden en route, its just taken over by hedge.0 -

I get that. I don't think I'm one of the "some people" that you describe, though. Mine seem to me to grow in a reasonably unremarkable shape if I leave them to their own devices. If I started to remove any, I doubt I'd ever get them symmetrical again - like a cartoon character trying to cut a bit off each leg of a table and going on taking a bit more here and a bit more there to make it balance until there are no legs left at all.
If, when you met me IRL, you immediately noticed that my eyebrows were in need of control, please email me!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Bloody boiling here. 36C this arvo. It's 10pm and we've still got the air con running. I walked to the supermarket with The Girl and I could feel my skin wilting. You know it's hot when you take a bottle of water on a 10 minute walk.
Cool change coming through tonight so 20C tomorrow. I love how the weather does that here.
We're awaiting 2 tax refunds of a few grand. That will also unlock some welfare payments.0 -

Except the last bit .... I'd not care if somebody else thought mine were in need of control, they're not here every day ever after keeping on top of their version of "spot on" are they

We went out earlier.
Kiwi has learnt he can fit through the dog grill in the car. We told him not to so he didn't. Until we parked at home, when he was through like a shot and out of the driver's door.
Tbh, this seemed pretty well behaved all considered, so I'm pretty proud of him. We can work on the second part. Though buying a car specific dog guard might be a better move.
Fir and I both had doubts over the boot today though, with thoughts of what would happen if we were rear ended.0
