    > PN....sending good vibes to you.

Our 2 ill parents are not as far down that road yet...but dreading it when the end starts to arrive.

Just want to reassure that I feel fine. Just part of me occasionally is not up to speed on the current message. :). But I really do feel ok. You just cannot let life revolve around these issues, and my only concern is the longer term schedule. :). But I am fine.

    Good to read :)

As you know I reduced to three days from ft this time last year for health reasons. you know my situation, I made the wrong call and should have retired. As my mum would have said there are no pockets in shrouds.
...do you think that you wouldn't have had the stroke had you stopped back then or would you have had it anyway? Not meant to be a blunt question, I was just thinking aloud really......all the rushing around and stress-ness was that the main reason for it?

We have landed down the past 5 years nice and gently with a soft landing and I am just loving the non-stress-ness of it all...I don't mind having less £££ as the spending (on houses) was stressfull enough in itself. OH and I are just a bit meh as we should be doing our new Grand Plan now...but well, can't have it all.
Given myself 2 new projects so we'll see if they sell. Ironically, we still T/O more than we did when we closed the shop.

Was reading about Gordon Ramsay and his personal guarantee on a lease and he want's to get out of it....seems like such a long time ago that we had to deal with our LL......still empty as well.

I do now need to change/find the cheapest supplier, now I've got some workable readings. I'm on a "pricey" rate as I went with British Gas' standard tariff, so I could change on a whim at any point and not be tied into anything.

I take my gas & elec meter readings every week and record them on iMeasure - completely free to sign up and use, no spam.

I therefore can tell exactly what my annual consumption is at any time, and when most of the consumption occurs during the year.

I'm with EDF at the moment, just having swapped from a summer 2015 fix with them to a May 2016 fix that was lower. They may not be the cheapest but it's free to move tariff or away from them if you ever want to, and the horror admin / charging stories you read on the energy forum about some of the newer entrants to the market made me wary of those companies.

Don't forget to see whether you would get any cashback on one of those sites before swapping.
    Don't quote, will delete.

It's cold and damp here today. I spent a couple of hours in the (unheated) allotment shop this morning with a few others, bagging up the potato orders and other stuff ready for our re-opening this weekend.

Have now come home and put the heating on, but it's not making any impact yet. Brrr.

I've got a workshop for my course tomorrow, with a practical assessment to do as part of it. Hope the nerves remain under control.

The following workshop, in about 2 weeks, is the biggy though. Need to design and deliver a 40 minute training session on a relevant topic of my choice. As part of the design work, I need to write a 2000 words overview (!) about the session. No idea what should go into that document  The assessment checklist for the 40 minute session is 2 pages long and time will be strictly controlled. I just hope that the tutor tomorrow is able to answer all our questions as panic has already set in

Pfft. There's always one. If I had a bigger freezer and somewhere to store spuds, I might consider it, but 15Kg is a LOT of spuds you have to get through for one small 'un. I do like spuds, eat them a lot ... but often in fits and starts.

    And me.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
