Probably a bit late to mention it but if you'd pressed Ctrl+z immediately after deleting they should have reappeared in your inbox if you use Outlook.

I tried that, didn't work :( Maybe I pressed another key first in my moment of panic. Good tip though.

My colleague found a great new word (well new to me): phaneron.

The phaneron is the world as it exists in your mind as a result of your sensory interaction with the world.

That's an excellent word and I've never heard of it before.

The chap who coined it's an intriguing fellow

I love this bit from the Wikipedia article:
He went on to earn the A.B. and A.M. from Harvard; in 1863 the Lawrence Scientific School awarded him a B.Sc. that was Harvard's first summa !!! laude chemistry degree and otherwise his academic record was undistinguished.

From the article for Stalin (in my mind):
Apart from being the effective ruler of the Soviet Union for 3 decades and most of Eastern Europe for 8 years his political career was for the most part unremarkable.

    Too right it is :D

Interested in DS's thinking. Do you wear Madonna's cast off bras from the 90s?

:rotfl: I hope he meant that he saw it and remembered that I like Toblerone.

As you know I reduced to three days from ft this time last year for health reasons. you know my situation, I made the wrong call and should have retired. As my mum would have said there are no pockets in shrouds.

I bet you found yourself being expected to do very nearly the same amount of work, but in three days instead of five :(

Glad to see you've done the basic research - that's also my starter list when I buy new planes. Then it's just a question of: what colour does it come in? (with me being a girl)

A cousin of DW explained to me that her job was designing the interior colour schemes of aircraft. With characteristic tact, I asked her how this could possibly take more than a few hours to do? She then explained how intricate the job was and that it took many months of hard graft to achieve a satisfactory result. Sadly, there must have been some truth in my question, because she was made redundant soon afterwards.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

On this forum many people take themselves far too seriously and think what they post really, really matters.

This (these) thread (s) are a blessed relief from that.

Ironically, these threads are where very meaning ful things that matter in real life to real people do happen. Funny how that works huh?

There are several forums where I read but wouldn't trust myself to post for the very reason above. (not just what I might post, but what others might post in response!)
