    Congratulations - another milestone :)

If you feel like lending him out then I can't put mine on unless it's back to front to start with (yes, I turn it round after being fastened :rotfl: ) since I pulled a shoulder muscle last summer when trying to start a petrol lawn mower. :o

Edit: I've resorted to opening a bottle of wine. 1767 emails to go!

Go girl!(Wine makes all things easier to bear, I think).

There are various options available to me.

I'm a great believer in the right doors opening at the right time. This gives you flexibility to put your priorities first while not having to worry about a complete lack of income.

I had a conversation at the greengrocers on Saturday in which I was assured that the 4 long, large peppers in a bag were sweet ones rather than chilli ones. I'm not right keen on chilli ...

Anyhow, I have just prepared a lovely chicken casserole (chicken tonight honey & mustard sauce, mmm) with added veggies in, including 3 of these peppers. Scratched my nose and licked my fingers after everything had gone into the casserole pot. Big mistake

I'm not believing the greengrocer again!!

Luckily my hands went nowhere near my eyes, and after cooking I think the effect of the chillies has been diluted somewhat among the sauce and other ingredients. Mouth is still tingling a bit though.

It will get labelled 'beware, spicy chkn cass' in the freezer boxes :rotfl:

( though if we were parents it would not be questioned.......i foresee some social issues with the parental leave things in some environments) but its certainly made me think about its viability in the future.

I've read stories where people have invented children, just so they can get away from work on time and not be the sap left behind doing all the work. You'd need to be sufficiently distanced from the workplace/colleagues though to get away with that level of lies :)

:( Hope you feel better soon.

Just want to reassure that I feel fine. Just part of me occasionally is not up to speed on the current message. :). But I really do feel ok. You just cannot let life revolve around these issues, and my only concern is the longer term schedule. :). But I am fine.

I could do it with no loss of take home just pension but then that would mean any dream of earlier retirement would go...

As you know I reduced to three days from ft this time last year for health reasons. you know my situation, I made the wrong call and should have retired. As my mum would have said there are no pockets in shrouds.

Hmm, gives rise to thought what one should wear to one's own final party.

I'm guessing my new very soft dressing gown and the bunny slippers missing one tail aren't quite the thing?

I hate the idea of sensible daywear.

Maybe some decent underwear, but if I'm wrong and there is some sort of literal afterlife but you're unable to change what you are wearing, or they are wrong, and you get trapped in a box , imagine having a wedgie from careless dressing in beautiful underwear for ever more, or in that final suffocation. Nope. :D

They can just roll me in in the nuddy.

I guess for me it would have to be joggers and a hoodie. Or perhaps my crocodile onesie if I was really making an effort :)

Edit: I'm at 684 emails left. That's over 1000 that I've filed/ permanently deleted. That'll have to do for today and I'll deal with the rest tomorrow (or perhaps my deleted items folder will magically remember how to empty itself in the meantime...)

Probably a bit late to mention it but if you'd pressed Ctrl+z immediately after deleting they should have reappeared in your inbox if you use Outlook.

My colleague found a great new word (well new to me): phaneron.

The phaneron is the world as it exists in your mind as a result of your sensory interaction with the world.
