Can't believe you are allowed to know what your wife weighs, let alone quote it.

Well done, Sue. I didn't know you were looking for anything full time.

I wasn't really but it took my fancy....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Well done, Single Sue! Is this a bit of a bid for freedom as the boys get older? I do hope you get it. You're more than capable.

A bit of freedom and prep for when the boys go to uni. Youngest is coping so much better at college and although he still needs me overnight and in the evening/weekends, it has freed up some daytime hours to be able to go back to work. Plus also, being at college, it means I don't have to stick to the old agreement at his high school where I had to be able to be there within 10 or 15 minutes if they needed me (it was one of the provisos of him being able to stay at the school). They used to use it too, drop of a hat and they would be on the phone...college appear to be able to deal with those small problems without resorting to phoning me every single time.

The time just feels right I suppose and if for any reason there is a crisis, I am sure holiday entitlement will cover it or we will muddle through.

How long extra did you have to stay abroad? And, how many days were you booked to be there - and how many were good days/how many ill days?

6 extra days abroad, 5 extra days off work. Probably well enough to have been at work for 3 of those days as was cleared 'fit to fly' on the Wednesday but insurance co didn't get their act together until Friday evening flight.

Just failed to get an early night tonight as DS who was in our bed cos he wasn't feeling well vomited all over the bed requiring a shower for him plus a complete change of the bedding - luckily the mattress was OK. Thinking about it he seems to vomit fairly regularly, I wonder if he could be intolerant to something? TMI but he seemed to bring up everything including a not really digested weetabix from breakfast, I wonder why that was still in his stomach?
    I think....

Because he's intolerent of Weetabix and so can't digest it...?

The way to find out what, if anything, he's intolerent of is to do an 'elimination diet' which is a complete PITA.

For reasons I can't explain, it's Weetbix rather than Weetabix in Aus.

I think most of my posts here just remind people that not everybody's perfect, brilliant, talented and able :)

I'm the "voice of the real person, who fails at a lot of stuff".... the world's got far too many perfect smug people telling us all how easy everything is.

    I am that balance :)

It'd not be me if I had a fab house I loved, and was filling it with choice items of expensive interior-design-win fabrics and furnitures.... while multi-tasking and baking the best rising pies in the world.... all while holding down an £80k/year job, driving the latest sports car and holidaying at fab venues 6x a year :)

You are forgetting the perfect marriage and the 2.4 impeccably behaved and high-achieving children. ;)

All sounds very positive. Hoping for the best for this one, but even if not this one then another one soon. :)

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I am knackered. I took apart some MALM drawers and shoved them in the loft then built 2 x PAX wardrobes (or 3x if you count the additional work created by getting it all wrong and having to backtrack) and a HEMNES bookcase today. It took bloody ages and I really must get an electric screwdriver as my hands are in pieces.

Is there a category for flat pack furniture assembly in master builder of the year?
