Not back to work this morning as poor ds was retching every 10 to 30 minutes until 4am and I am too knackered. DW has struggled up to take the girls to school and i will go to work this afternoon, my stomach feels slightly dodgy but hopefully that is just psychosomatic.

All the screws holding the side sliders onto the drawer itself have come free and the sides appear to be bowing. I built it OK, never seen shoddy stuff like it! That doesn't happen with Ikea stuff... or never used to.
I'd need some help getting the boxed units into the car - and at this end I'd have to bring in one piece at a time, by unpacking it in the car, due to weight/size of panels.
Dunno what Ikea's delivery radius is like but you can have it all delivered and they will therefore carry it into the house for you. I'm pretty sure they didn't charge us for delivery.
Plus if you're feeling extravagant you can pay extra and they will assemble it for you (I assume they still do this they certainly did a couple of years back). I kind of wish we had done that as I expect they would have thrown it all up in an hour whilst I watched TV whereas in reality I started at 3pm and finished at 10pm, with an hour off for dinner.0 -

I know if I do this I will collapse under the effort. So, lamely, I though I might take a really pathetic dip toe in water and start with scarves. Then maybe vests. Or nightwear. Things I feel are manageable in quantity but are not currently adequately contained.
Its hard to do some of it without fir here as some of our clothes drawers are shared ( including pants, and 'winter goods' ) but scarves and nightwear and my vests and tops etc I could do alone and with little physical effort.
I cannot fold clothes at present so OH puts my clothes away and gets them out for me. Yesterday he tidied my knicker drawer. he counted 36 pairs and said it is too many and I must ditch some. As number of bras are now too big I should probably start with them and the matching knickers but the only thing to do is put them in the clothes bank and some are just too good/barely worn. Oh well. It is one of the betttr problems to have I suppose.0 -
Shaking.
Just watched DD run straight out in front of a car without looking. Thank God the driver saw her first. _pale_Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I'm not sure. She looked a bit taken aback once she'd made it across and laughed nervously, until I yelled at her like a crazy woman.
"Don't EVER do that again!"
The lure of nice things across the road, just like those road safety videos of the seventies with a boy running to an ice cream van. Her best friend was there.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
