Can't believe you are allowed to know what your wife weighs, let alone quote it.
Well done, Sue. I didn't know you were looking for anything full time.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Well, me and Josh have almost completed our first week on the diet, he has been amazing and has followed it well, despite some of his friends trying to cajole him into having something he shouldn't...he held fast and had the healthy option.
I sneaked a look on the scales on Friday, mum's scales are not the most exact or brilliant but it showed an approx loss of between 4 and 6 pounds...I'm getting my own tomorrow so we can do it slightly more accurately!
:T:T:T
Well done him. And well done you too. Hope it carries on going brilliantly. (Although don't be disappointed if it slows down a bit after the first few weeks. Even if you carry on being just as "good" the later weight is harder to shift than the first lot, so it's as well to be forewarned. Although you probably know that and I am teaching my grandmother to suck eggs.)PasturesNew wrote: »Hurrah. I hate aubergines.
So do I.Just had a phone call....got an interview on Tuesday! Full time job, in an office, very very local and right up my street.
Eeek, got to dust off and find all my interview clothes now!
Ooooh! Exciting!!!
Hoping for the best for you.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
That's brilliant news Sue - I hope it goes well

I've never put pepper in mash either, but depending on what DH fancies, sometimes I'll put in mustard or horseradish sauce. Depends what its being served with.Spend less now, work less later.0

We add milk and butter and sometimes cheese - but then we don't add salt or pepper to anything whilst cooking but do have it available if there are guests who want to add.I think....0 -

I never used to. I just used to put a blob of marg in and mash by hand. Then, about 5 years ago, I'd seen a lot of recipes say pepper, and I had some, so I put a bit in and it was quite nice. So I kept doing it. One tiny pot of pepper would last 5-10 years in my house, I don't use it much/often.0 -
I put pepper on pretty much everything, so it's not surprising that mash doesn't escape. No salt, but I'll often add a bit of stock cube/ powder to things so that will be a source of added salt.
What else ends up in the mash depends what I have around/ what it is accompanying. My mash has been known to include cheese, spring onion, mustard, dried herbs or sometimes that little bit of stock cube. I usually add milk (unless I've run out) but often leave out the butter/ olive oil.0 -
