Oh yes you can have yorkshire pudding without gravy. Only if you don't let it get all dry and horrible, though. ;)

Probably need what is technically known as a soggy bottom, I understand.

It is interesting that people keep talking about Yorkshire pudding, but they utterly failed to mention gravy. Is it just that the two go together so obviously that you could not have one without the other?

I wouldn't want gravy if I were having my Yorkshire pudding with cream and syrup or fruit.

    Guess not! :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Confession time: I've never made yorkshire puddings. I don't often make gravy.

Add it to the list, along with a lack of pets.

This morning I've had a big, expensive, brekkie. 2 ready-baked Walls sausages (you nuke them), 2 pieces of toast, a whole can of tomatoes, 3 scrambled eggs, branston brown sauce.

Although at this time of day it counts as lunch really.

    Cost was a whopping £1.50

Fir made breakfast this morning. Lovely garlicky and herb laden MUSHROOMS. And an egg. :)

We've missed going over to the fishmonger because we had , um.....other pressing matters to attend to this morning, so we'll think about supper later.

When I moved to Yorkshire, even though I don't like them, I thought I'd better learn to cook proper Yorkshire puds for the rest of the family. Took 3 years to find a recipe that works for me. I now make them in batches and pop in the freezer.
