Sometimes it is, sometimes not. Either me or the bed is uncomfortable so I have to move to shift the aching bits.
    What a wimp!

Not a wimp at all, hjd. :) Maddening to keep waking up, and as you say, it does leave you still tired in the morning. If you're having trouble with aches and pains, it would be worth trying a mattress topper, if you haven't already. My doughter bought one recently and texted me to announce that for the first time in ages she hadn't had to come downstairs in the morning holding onto the wall and going "Owww!"

I don't know how to do links, and if anyone tells me how I will immediately forget, but it was from Dunelm Mill and was called a "Rebound" topper. It has made a huge difference to DD's energy levels.

I haven't heard that euphemism before, where were the kids whilst this was going on in the kitchen?

Seriously though Gen, I haven't done that but I believe it involves taking out the bone and flattening out the meat so that it cooks faster, is that right?

Just highlight the address bar, copy and paste.

Or if you want to be posh. Write the words you want as the link, highlight them, then click on the picture of the world above the reply box and paste the link (ie the address bar from the page you want) into the box that appears - having first highlighted the address and copied.

    Posh topper link

Correct. Having done this now I reckon I could do a leg of lamb on the barbie in 15 mins rather than roasting it for 2 hours.

I ended up cooking it in olive oil, lemon and thyme and it was blimmin' good quite frankly.

Going to give Aldi a try on Monday :). It's close to my house and I drive past it every morning, so it's time.

Any NP bargains to keep an eye out for?

ETA: I am refusing to work, answer my phone (unless it's one of two work calls) for the whole of next week, and sit on internet for most of it. We're not going anywhere, but I'm spending time with my girls.

Looks like a good idea - but the only thing putting me off is a few comments that it makes the bed hotter. I really can't be doing with that - I generate my own hot micro-climate and need everything to be as cool as possible. Does your daughter notice any difference in heat?
I can definitely relate to coming downstairs holding on to the wall and going Owww!!

It is interesting that people keep talking about Yorkshire pudding, but they utterly failed to mention gravy. Is it just that the two go together so obviously that you could not have one without the other?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Despite the BTL not being for sale it appears we have sold it again for the same price as the sale that fell through although this time it is strictly no completion until the 12 months AST is up - we could invoke the 2 months notice break clause but I am not willing to do so as I told the tenants we wouldn't (although of course if they want to leave sooner they can).

Good news! :) And well done you for doing the right thing by your tenants. :T

    the saga continues.

I was assessed by an OT and Physio on Monday as needing a package of care as I cannot put my aides on without assistance and OH cannot be with me everyday as he will travel for work. My GP said the same and faxed social services to get this in place. I am pretty independent an d we have made adjustments to enable this. elasticated clothes, convert bathroom to wetroom, so social services have said I am not eligible as aides are healthcare and then we go back round the no healthcare provision.
trying not to get annoyed as i nreed to keep my blood pressure under control.

:( Hoping for the best for you.

Oh yes you can have yorkshire pudding without gravy. Only if you don't let it get all dry and horrible, though. ;)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
