There are other things to do in and around Tampa :) and if you time it right you could also catch a ballgame at the worst baseball stadium in the history of baseball stadiums, the Thunderdome (once the politics are out of the way the Rays will have a new ballpark on the waterfront in Tampa by 2020) or catch the Lightning at the Ice Palace.................but any game at RJS is worth a trip :T................Mike Evans will be even more of a revelation next year in his sophomore season with a decent QB and OC..............them canons will be blasting away, and if we draft Jameis Winston the papers will be full of interesting storys (P.S. Marcus Mariota will not be a success in the NFL)

I once flew with BA to NYC for a weekend in October 1990 and there were only just over 50 people on the 747. They moved all the Club passengers to 1st, and all the Economy pax to Club to make it easier to look after, but quite a few moved back into Economy so they could lie flat out on the 4 seats and get some peace and quiet (not me......the food n booze was too tempting)

Thanks purch. Am I allowed to admit I prefer the city across the bay with the same name as a city in Russia:o?

DH agrees re the OC. Having a QB that doesn't get sacked all the time would be a big step forward. He's also a big Evans fan. Jameis Winston sounds a good pick, I haven't heard of Marcus Mariota as I don't watch college football. Do you think he will go the way of Tim Tebow?

I don't think any law change would stop what happened in Walmart happening.

The Law is moving in the opposite direction in some places, in Idaho itself (where this happened) they passed a Law that allowed concealed weapons to be carried on public Universities and Colleges despite loads of opposition from the Universities themselves ( in a show of restraint they kept the ban of carrying a concealed weapon inside a building where in excess of 1,000 people are present)

I had my hair trimmed today,

Hope it looks and feels fabulous!

I had mine trimmed just before Christmas. I had a couple of inches off, nothing dramatic, though i knew what would happen. It went from below elbows to above them, when straight/wet. Its now tickling my shoulders when dry. The bounce up on curly hair is ridiculous. Eventually it will get used to it and relax a bit but it is jubilant about it, and while its nice to see my hair so buoyant I feel a bit exposed while its so much shorter and not because I styled it that way! I also think its probably hard to imagine how much longer than it looks my hair really is. :rotfl:

Right, off to body worker now.....

He's better than Tebow, but he is a product of the Zone Read Option that works in the College game as no team has 11 NFL quality players on defense, and even the best coached defense will have one or two guys making the wrong decision, and a superb athlete at QB who is also smart can be made to look unstoppable.

He a much better passer than Tebow, but most of the College QB's who get drafted after having success in option style offenses rarely have success in the NFL beyond 2 or 3 years, as they all like to pull the ball down and run when their first passing read isn't open, and they end up getting hit too often. ( Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, RG111)

Jameis Winston will be a success in the NFL as FSU play a more pro-style offense, but he'll probably end up in jail before too long, or at least suspended from playing.

I had my now biannual (I thought I should upgrade from annual now I'm trying to hold down a grown-up job) haircut a couple of weeks ago. I just asked for my usual (take a couple of inches off the ends to tidy it up), and a few longish layers (again, I'm pretending to be grown up). Hairdresser was keen to shape the front a bit, so I let her. Not sure whether I prefer it or not. But I gave it a go :)

Me too. Not expecting it to happen, though. It hasn't happened for the last 3 years that I've hoped it would, and there's not really any reason for 2015 to be any different.[/URL]

Oh, me too. But I've managed to hit the financial goals I set myself for the year (£x off the mortgage and my variation on the 'save £y in 2014' theme), and NONE of the non-financial aims. Not one.

I know how I met my financial aims (some self-discipline, well defined goals, sticking with it when I'm not on course/ have a bad month) so I need to work out how to apply that to other things (e.g. lose some weight).

A bottle of plonk and Hootenany (sp?) sounds perfect.

We have friends over. I'm not even sure how it happened. It will be nice but I've missed Jools for 3 of the last 4 and it's perfect for me. New Year is for a bit of reflection, IMO.

Yup. I've selected a bottle of fizzy pink plonk which I [STRIKE]rescued from my wine cellar[/STRIKE] found in my bedroom at my parents'. And I'm pretty sure it will be the Hootenanny (I'm not expecting to be overwhelmed by the choice of things to watch).

I feel awful today. It hurts :(

I feel like my brain might pop when I cough.

Going to bathe, see if steam helps.

Having a concealed weapon loaded and ready to fire whilst shopping in WalMart is hard to understand.

Most automatic handguns do not have a safety catch, but are armed by loading the magazine, and cocking by pulling back on the latch (slide), which puts a bullet in position ready to fire. Doing that takes seconds, so why the gun would need to be carried like that is beyond comprehension.

I know a lot of American friends who wouldn't dream of leaving the house without their "weapon" and most carry it in their glove compartment when driving, but I can't imagine any of them having it ready for immediate firing.

If you feel in danger, even the few seconds to c0ck the pistol, which takes both hands, may seem like a bad idea. OTOH carrying a loaded, cocked pistol is also a very, very bad idea. If her keys had got tangled in the trigger, for example, she could easily have ended up shooting her son by mistake, so perhaps it's all for the best that he got the first shot in?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I am going out with two of my boys tonight to a local pub with music, James is already on the train on the way home.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I learnt to Fly in Texas in 1980.
    Posh Alert!!!!
    :)

Learning to fly is one; in Texas is another; in 1980, when flying/going to the US was rarer is another.
