LiR, hope you are over that allergy thing OK. Assume you must be since you've been to body worker. Any idea what the problem ingredient might have been? Apparently all takeaways and restaurants are supposed to list ingredients now in case of allergies in their clientelle.
    :j )

My reactions are rarely severe. I've only had to go to hospital a few times, normally OTC antihistamine works perfectly fine. This is a huge relief because my allergies are transient. Often the culprits are the same, for example, I had pineapple last night and pineapple has caused problems a few times, but is fine other times.

I feel fine today and body work was good. Because of the drama last time it was all scaled back this time. :(. I love really hard work, but today was relaxing and still beneficial so that's good. Fir had a session too ( before me) and kept repeating he didn't like it too intense :D. :rotfl: It was really cool to see his normal human imbalances ( I.e. Like an average person has) worked on and respond.

In 2015 I want to complete my recovery

Going by what you've achieved in 2014 since it happened, I have every confidence you'll complete it.

It has been so lovely to hear about what your friends and family have been doing for you and Mr Spirit. Says so much about how they feel about you.

Congrats to your brother too - that's a great achievement. Long may it last.

    Sofas.

DFS seem to consistently come in at the right price. This one's in the running, at £299 + delivery. http://i1.adis.ws/i/dfs/smudge_3h_smudge_sky_view1?$dfsviewermain$

    http://www.dfs.co.uk/smudge/3-seater-sofa-smudge-101060025p--1

    Can anyone beat that?

Looking at: width to be no more than 195cm, so it can fit on the other wall if ever needed to (more than that prevents door opening). Although this one's 196cm, so would be right up to the limit.

Looking at: height of the arms and shape - they are quite low (ideal for bunging a pillow on an lying on the sofa to watch TV) and a bit wide (maybe handy for putting the remote or other small things occasionally). Notice the arms are straight, not curly/swirly and taking up room.

Looking at: colour - I was thinking a kind of lightish blue, but choosing colour is the hardest bit. Can't work out if I like the colour Mint, or Sky. I think Sky's winning.

Looking at: feet shape/size - not anything pointy.

Want the biggest/closest to a 3-seater, with 2 separate cushions (not 3), within the width limit and cheapest. :)

I like that, nice sofa for the price. DFS sofas aren't bad - we have them here. They get a lot of stick, but you don't have kids or pets and yours will be treated well, so if you try it out and its comfy, why not go for it? Also, they are a member of the furniture ombudsman service, so any problems and you have someone impartial to go to (not saying you'd have problems, but its good to know). It's probably on a 6-8 week lead time.

The only thing you need to be wary of being single is sitting on the same seat the whole time. Which compared to having kids and pets is a doddle.

Oh, and Sky is the nicest colour and I'd change the cushions...

Well, my night out was cancelled. ... So, all in all, it's all off.

So it's me, you guys and a packet of crumpets I got from Lidl :)

So's mine. DS and DD were outraged at the idea of going out - said we've always been just the 3 of us for NYE. And the friend I was going to go to has still go her ill and elderly mother staying, while DS and I both have nasty colds/coughs we shouldn't be passing on to vulnerable people. Meanwhile the effect of the cough/cold is to make me too tired to argue with all of that weight of reason for staying in with my own kids and not doing anything.

I would like to be virus-free.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Well, I'm just back from a last minute trip to the supermarkets to see if there were any cheap treats for tonight. Apparently a lot of other had the same idea! One supermarket I was too late for - the other there were packs hanging around for the yellow stickers. I like a bargain, but not enough to fight for them.

Sorry to hear your plans have been cancelled PN and Lydia. I've completed the vast majority of my cleaning - except for going over the bathroom again and a corner of the living room (the dining room and 'orangery' were not on my list so have largely escaped).

Spoke to a friend earlier - we came to the conclusion we'd rather be doing what the other was tonight. She's off out with some friends but feels like sitting in watching DVDs... and obv I'm having a party for one Chez Moi. We had a good giggle about that! Then she said 'Well, it might well be your last NYE alone'... so as unlikely as that is, I'm going to treat it as such.

In fact maybe that's how I'm going to try and treat each day in 2015 - as the NPT (and the news) shows, you never know what's coming up. I'm pretty good at the sensible, longer-term stuff, so I'm sure it would do me good to concentrate on the here and now a bit more.

    Me? Make a decision? No.

Oh I so know what you mean!!! When house renovation going on it seemed we had to make very fast decisions horribly often. Some went OK, I love downstairs shower room, but might have done bathroom upstairs a bit different. It's OK, but given more time for thought it could have been better. Happy with kitchen (though know *you* don't like the way we did kitchen we are happy :rotfl: ) and utility... Only prob with utility room is it's full of carp and washing that needs doing. If it was empty of carp it would look great! :o

Well - the curtains... having taken weeks to decide, once hung, I decided they were the wrong colour :) They're too wishy washy and the whiter area's too "natural" aka unbleached cotton/linen, so bleurgh.

At some point, the curtains might get replaced and these ones flogged off on ebay :) (Although I think they're a bit heavy to be posting, so would have to think that through)

From what I remember of your curtains I thought they fitted your seaside theme nicely. But colours often look different on monitors compared to real life. I'm sorry they didn't fit your idea as well as you'd like. :( I'm sure given more time you'll find exactly what you want.

Big hugs from Liverpool to you - feels to me like you could do with some hugs, and since they're cyber hugs I do hope you feel able to accept them.

Hope you have a fab New Year, and my best wishes to you for 2015.

We cancelled this evening, too. I haven't left bed, so it will be Hootenanny if I can stay awake.

Oh no Dooz :( I don't think you answered my question before (apologies if I missed it) If you haven't troubled the GP yet, I think it might be time?

Yes, no, I didn't. Last time I had it they just said it would clear itself up so I feel stupid going again but I will call on Friday if I'm not improving. Meh.

I've read nearly a while book today between snoozes. Susannah Cahalan - Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness. Her own story of being gripped by an auto-immune disease that started attacking her brain. Quite frightening.

We just cancelled tomorrow family party stuff too. At least we found family member to transport someone we were going to take so she can go. We got Indiana Jones film on now, prob something OH would never look at if he was fit and healthy! :rotfl:

I hope all Nice People have the Best New Year Possible.

You have really helped me over this year in the time since I started posting here. Thank you all.

In friendship from Liverpool my best wishes.
