I'm sure I'll be able to make another trip to balance things out - if you insist
(or even if you don't!)
I'm sure no-one posh will visit my home. But if they did I'd explain it with a smile and tell them about the weekend I helped my friend move out of a dark, horrible flat into their lovely new home
Well, somebody more grown up than us two then
It was dark and horrid really wasn't it.... and this place is light all over, all day. Not direct sun/south facing to the rear, but certainly gets all the sun and lots of reflected light too.0 -

I'm flitting between Radios 1 and 6. I'm dancing in my seat. Only a matter of minutes before I'm dancing round the living room like an idiot.

At least you've nobody but yourself to blame if somebody's sick on the carpet
I'm sitting here, the height of sophistication: oversized comfy leggings, fluffy socks, a sparkly top, an oversized zip up hoodie ... eating crumpets from a plastic picnic plate, with a black coffee.0 -
Hopefully I'd make it to the looPasturesNew wrote: »At least you've nobody but yourself to blame if somebody's sick on the carpet

As I explained to my friend on phone earlier. I'm dressing up for tonight... seeing as I've spend the past few days cleaning I've treated myself to a clean pair joggers and hoodie. And I wonder why I'm sat at home, alone
Edit: I have some pink cava , with a splash of my home made sloe gin... whoa! It's good (even unsweetened), but I don't think I should have another :eek:0 -
Happy New Year Nice Peeps.
Our New Years Eve has featured d&v for DW, and DD2 who is finally recovering from pneumonia developing a nasty rash which google suggests is fairly common for amoxicillin, further diagnosis is difficult as the only option is the a&e 30minutes away.I think....0 -

Great idea.
We're drinking our way through a magnum tonight, started with French 75's, have now moved on to Sloe Royales, and may have enough left for a plain old glass of champagne to toast in the new year.
Or not..... Hic.:D“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Spirit that is a lovely post

I hope that all the things you, and all NPs, wish for in 2015 come to pass.
Nikkster, I like your style :T
I've been relishing the Mapp and Lucia programmes on BBC1. Such wonderful ascerbic one-up-manship and b!tchiness under a veneer of small-town civility
Miranda Richardson and Anna Chancellor at their best, with Steve Pemberton and Mark Gatiss 2 of the supporting actors. Would thoroughly recommend on iPlayer.0 -
Was just doing my last bit of washing up for this year, when I realised I had a bit of unfinished business... decided the bathroom was clean enough, and the paperwork in the corner could stay there... but there were a couple of emails (received Dec 23rd) I'd been putting off reading...
Now I've had an, ahem, couple of drinks I was ready to hear that my thesis was even worse than before... but apparently it's 'really taking shape now. Well done'
Eff me.
So I guess I just need to hope that the Powers That Be don't kick me out. And keep on with whatever it is I managed to do.
