i have lemonade. anti depressants and booze do not mix so I am enjoying diet lemonade
I recently discovered the joy of tonic water with lots of wedges of lime. I was shocked to discover that I might actually like tonic more than gin!
Not sure whether quinine reacts with any medications though?0 -
this is so alien but i reallly cannot focus on anything other than rehab and resting
I don't think you should feel bad about that. All Your life, you have worried about other people. Just for now, you need to concentrate on yourself. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
So go back to the GP and see if they can suggest what did happen.
ECG and blood tests are of limited usefulness some days after the event though.
Mm well the RMO suggested I did that anyway as my cholesterol is borderline apparently. She thought it was most likely acid reflux.
I'm not convinced though, as that doesn't explain pain in the arm, and it doesn't really explain the breathlessness, which she said herself. Obviously it's good news that the tests came back clear, and as I'm 25, healthy weight, don't smoke it's extremely unlikely the problem is cardiac. But it does happen, and I can't help but feel that there is something wrong.
In any case they said to me to have some gaviscon to hand and to take that, and if that doesn't help and the pain lasts longer than 10 minutes then to go in.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
I did have a tiny glass of wine tonight, and yeah.......really shouldn't have done. Won't do that again. On the plus side, I really don't need the heating on tonight. WowZers it got warm.
Nikkster, I have lime mint in my glass of water quite often. Or lemon balm. Lime mint is really nice and Limey, I'm glad we bought it.0 -

My sibling has been a normal weight and reasonably fit. They found a probably congenital cardiac problem that had gone Undiagnosed all her life a few years ago. She's older of course, but it still would have been there when she was twenty five.0 -
... I am enjoying diet lemonade....
I always liked Pepsi Max - and had developed an expensive addiction to it. I used to be happy just having some cans a few times a year, but once I got to my parents' house it was something they understood and they'd keep telling me the price of it everywhere it was on offer, so it became easy to say "yes" when they offered to pick some up. They used to get into these obsessions, if you said you liked something once that's what you'd get for the next 20 years.
So I started drinking more and more of it ... and continued to do so. And even though I was only ever buying it at £2 for 8 cans, I was getting through 8 cans/day.
I finally cracked that addiction the other week, just to see if I could. I am now on a variety of different Robinsons No Added Sugar squashes. Right now I have 7 bottles in the kitchen. I like the Fruit/Barley ranges, I've probably got orange, apple/pear, orange/pineapple, summer fruits ... and I know I've got a pink grapefruit too... no idea why I chose that one to try.
I make it up in a jug 4:1 ratio (measured).... and I think a 1litre bottle takes me just over 2 days to get through (5litres of squash). Not had a Pepsi for 4-5 weeks I think.0 -
had some horrid news this evening.

+1 for what GDB says. I can feel your frustration and sadness at not being able to support your deputy, but none of us can go beyond the resources we presently have.
Something hopefully to cheer you up a little - I read your long post and thought 'wow, Spirit's typing is improving in leaps and bounds'. So, although everything will take a long time as you've said, and you probably won't notice all these little steps, we can see the progress you're making.

Kiwi is very restless. Earlier he had made so preliminary excavations into a furry hole and has been waiting quite politely to go back later, but its started raining very heavily, so his holes , and the furry run, will be sodden, and he doesn't like getting wet. I can see him trying to decide which is the worst option. Fwiw, he's not going back there tonight, because he's not going to have option to choose getting wet and muddy before bed. He can go out before dawn tomorrow though...( but he hates getting up early)0
