ECG and blood tests are of limited usefulness some days after the event though.

i.e. if it happens again (which hopefully it won't), please go straight to A+E.

Apparently there is no limit to npower's ability to a) be incompetent and b) p me off.

Apparently paying off the balance of my account is not enough to convince them to let me leave. It is flattering that they wish so strongly to hold onto me, but this is not an effective way to win my affection

International Spirit Hour in just over half an hour .... get your sparklies ready ... and this week we have a special guest visitor, Spirit, who can join us by sitting in her comfy chair or bed and twinkling her eyes.

    (Nice people mode OFF)

There is a poster who has a signature like this:
"Living in the sane people corner of the lunatic asylum"

    There is also a saying:
"When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It is the same for stupid people".

I'm not usually in on a Thursday, but I have vanilla cupcake flavoured candle and proper champagne today so I will sparkle for Spirit.

I haven't posted much, Spirit, but I'm thinking of you and really pleased to hear of your progress even if you aren't impressed with your one armed smily situation. You are a true badass. :o

    In-of-the-deed as some might say.

No candles or sparkly lights here, but the sun has come out and is sparking on the river in front of me. I can see a couple of cruise ships moored on the other side and I'm sure someone on there must be raising a glass of something fabulous, so I'll use them as a proxy.

Spirit, I always think of you like this: :j and

On second thoughts, are they simply steering clear because of the little dog? If so, I must tell her. She'd be flattered.

I just told her, and she wagged her tail.

You are so warming to that dog. We can totally tell, you know.

I was spot on with the booze I see.

i have lemonade. anti depressants and booze do not mix so I am enjoying diet lemonade. I have a very healthy appetite and need to ensure i do not gain more weight whilst I am less mobile. in hosp whilst being fed very good home coooked lunches and dinners i lost a kilo, not much but better than gaining weight.

usually I am an 18 top and 16 bottom but my new elasticated waist trousers are a saggy fit at size 16 so if I continue to buy clothes with no style i may get away with a smaller size. I won't acually be any thinner just the shapeless stuff comes up 'big.

had some horrid news this evening. my lovely Deputy at work has been diagnosed with MS. I am not well placed to support her at present which grieves me as she deserves every consideration . life has dealt her some nasty blows and she is stoic. I like her hugely and know my own immediate boss will be more interested in any workload implications for herself than doing the best for my deputy.with both of us off, if it comes to that, some major things will not happen or will be a struggle. i have to think 'not my problem' as I am too fragile for work challenges , politics and decisions.

this is so alien but i reallly cannot focus on anything other than rehab and resting
