No one can pronounce or remember my name so I answer to Iona, Fiona, Elenna etc.

    Good Luck at the gp.

I think your name's really pretty :) It looks as if it's pronounced El-OE-na?

The GP increased my blood pressure medication, as it was up a bit again and my pulse was a bit fast. I suspect both these were due to the tension I've been getting in my head, neck and shoulders which has been giving me a headache. And the tension's probably because I'm due to have an operation in a week's time. It's rather like the House That Jack Built :p.

At least I only had to wait 10 minutes after my appointment time :)

lir Doesn't fir get indigestion after such intensive cheese-eating? Can we see kiwi with his reindeer ribbon on? How lovely of the girls there to send the treats for the other dogs :)

maggie Glad to see you're okay :) I entirely agree about flashing Christmas lights

I hope NDG is okay as well and just busy.

My daughter had a friend round, who breast fed her baby in our living room the other day. She simply covered her shoulder with a scarf, as she didn't want anyone other her husband having a glimpse of her breast. Nobody asked her to. It's what she wanted, and there was no sign the baby cared.

    So no problem.

However, if you are not wearing a scarf and don't want to.....also no problem IMO.

I would be glad to have opportunity to ASK for a clean napkin if I wanted to be covered certainly......or could use a muslin for some protection I guess.

Otoh, there are PLENTY of adult eaters that as someone with misophonia, I would quite cheerfully prefer to be in public places with if they dined with their heads down to the table well covered. But tough, its not my comfort. If their habits serious transgress social norms management will chuck'em out. If they don't I , and those like me, suck it up. IMO people who feel polluted by a baby eating discretely ( whatever chosen method...and heather covered or uncovered) are as weird as misophonics. I have plenty of techniques I've developed to cope with misophonia, boobphobics can just turn their heads.

    Sometimes.

He once went to a and e in Milan because he thought he was having a heart attack...work had called him back in and sent a car, but on way in he said, actuall,.....a hospital......

When he got there they said what did you have for supper, he told them and they said...how many people, he said just him, but he hadn't eaten all day ( VERY up italian) they sent him home and told him to drink salts ( Italians love salts) ....

    Tbc I was not there.....

And he also got very bad indigestion the time he tried to take one of those huge tubs, the big rectangular ones, of clotted cream through airport security saying it was a solid, they said it was not a solid, he already had gold top milk he planned to drink when they took it off him.

So he went to the costa , got a plastic spoon or something, and ate the a ENTIRE tub, washing it down with the gold top.

He said he felt dreadful. I am afraid I just laughed.

Ivy leaf, its too dark to take photos here now. Remind me tomorrow if I forget. The girls LOVE big dog and have always been very, very kind to her. Big dog used to hate going to groomers, and that she has loved going there is great testament to their kindness. They also like dog dog because she likes them.

And so you should be, lucky, lucky lady!

I have just decided to finish work. Doozer was blackmailing me to write an email for him by telling me that he will not leave for a party tomorrow until it is done. I told him to foxtrot oscar. I am really quite tired now, it is late and I am not in the mood. :(

The dogs have decided it is bedtime and have piled onto me. I agree with them.

    You got it spot on.

I would have said ee lone a - but it is much the same thing.

Mum used to call me Illeana as a pet name and DH called me Illy

Don't think DDs will want to use the name as they know how awkward it was for me - on the bright side - when you phone some one and say it is "Elona" - they know who you mean!!;)

A few pages back, silver kindly told me she had some parking info for tomorrow. Because I'm such a numpty and had other things on my mind, I forgot until now, so just wanted to say thanks for thinking of me silver. I'll probably park in the fiver car park as its nearby and take it from there. All elaborate dress plans have gone out the window and I've even washed my smartest work trousers as they are warm. So have gone from glitz and glamour to comfy cardi in one go. It's a sign of getting old I think.

Misophonia - I had to look it up. It must be a real PITA. I take your point that there are more important things to worry about.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Mrs Generali, when she was still a Miss, went out to babysit one Saturday night and I thought it would be pretty disloyal of me to spend the money down t'pub so I stayed home.

The same day I returned a pair of trousers to Selfridges and got vouchers in return so popped into the food hall to 'invest' in a kg of cheeses, a loaf of bread and a bottle of wine.

When Mrs Generali got home, the cheese, bread and wine were all gone and I needed to remain lying on the sofa getting a tummy rub for quite a substantial period of time before I could make it up the stairs to bed. By 'eck that was good.
