    Office Christmas lunch today.
I'm having parsnip soup, roasted duck and black forest gateau.
    Fingers crossed it's edible...

We chose our food for tonight a while ago (maybe September?) so clearly I have no recollection of what I've chosen. Or even what the options were. I just know that there was no 'turkey' option. I hope someone has a list of what everyone ordered or this is going to be chaos after a glass or howevermany of wine.

    It was alright.
    Parsnip soup was good.
Duck was delicious, roasted pots were tasty.
Carrots and parsnips were over cooked, sprouts not boiled long enough and thus too hard.
    Gateau was okay.
Ambiance and company - as I was seated between Louise and Tina ;) - was good.

    Overall...I'd give it a...

Thanks for the link. I had a browse around and it really helped me stay positive.:A

Lovely to see the link to a Saki story. I have not read that one for years and enjoyed it.

I went to school with an Yvonne and an Yvette and met a Blanche (pronounced the Glaswegian way as "Blaaaansh" was much less glamorous!)

No one can pronounce or remember my name so I answer to Iona, Fiona, Elenna etc.

I love sprouts. They are also yummy pan friend with bacon ( and some onion. Just the fat from the bacon. Add sprouts if you like.

A while ago, some summer time, I went on a weird unseasonal sprout frenzy and felt like it was all I wanted. Steamed sprouts, sprout pasta......

I think I might just have properly lost. Mobile for the first time ever,

I've lost them for a few weeks before, but not while in use and turned on.

The phone I had in back up has been retracted. So if so I'll buy another cheapey. Wonder what's good in the sub tenner mRket ATM :).

Edit....aha.....found a phone in a drawer, newer than my old one.

I feel like an idiot for losing my phone though. :(
