Yes there is an English version of your name - although it's v old fashioned and nobody uses it any more. I can think of a character in a book called it, though. Just take the e off the end of your name and replace it with an a, and then say the name with the vowel in the second syllable pronounced long.
Oh dear. that will play on my mind all day now :rotfl: though trying to work out what it might be will help pass the time while I'm waiting (and waiting, and waiting....) to see the GP this morning

My car was called Cl!mence*, and I really like it as name, more than Clemency or Clementine. Giving your child a French name when there's an English equivalent might be construed as a bit pretentious though I suppose. Like calling your daughter Amelie rather than Amelia. Need to find a French girl.
*It's annoying that the acute accent doesn't work. I refuse to type it out without it though
Reminds me of Georgian name 'Elene', which is something like Helen (English) or Elena (Russian)
Noone I know yet has been able to pronounce it properly outside of Russia/Georgia.
Same for Ekaterine, Mariam (which is pronounced mar-yam) and several more
