.it was policy to cover up
I agree however uncovered is more discrete, that was not what the waiter was implementing.
They were acting pre-emotive of complaint, which, business wise, is not bad move, because one apology payment is made. If they wait for complaint they have to make one gesture to both complainer and the breast feeder.
When 'people like us' start saying we disagree with the policy that scale shifts and the preemptive move doesn't make as good business sense in 'that kind of establishment' any more.0 -

Noone I know yet has been able to pronounce it properly outside of Russia/Georgia.
Same for Ekaterine, Mariam (which is pronounced mar-yam) and several more
I would guess "ELL-en-ay" (with the accent on the first syllable)?
ETA: Or "El-AY-nay?"0 -
Btw GDB.....kiwis scratches.....he had a bath today, and yes, there are a few scratches, but no puctures, or serious scratches.
His groomer said 'much more than he gets from rough play, much less than dog dog gets from rough play... We'd have thought big dog had been in a dirty mood and rolling him around.'
They also put a little reindeer ribbon on his collar, and gave him a Christmas card and a bag of treats for him and the girls ( including a special treat for big dog who they know they won't see again.)0 -

I only know about the tweet from this! But I'd say something anyway.

Otoh, things like Clubs for men eyc don't bother me in the least and I find ridiculous to get upset about. Especially while we can have clubs for women and other similarly closed order associations. I find the wanting to break all barriers down in the name of equality very unequal. Equal rights for loner misogynists.....0 -
:eek::eek: I must stop telling people I used to be a forkie, heavens knows what they think of me!
Well it doesn't sound that much different to being a Spoonie, which I am, (though obviously it is!) given the cutlery similarity. :rotfl:lostinrates wrote: »Unusually today I feel quite energetic afterwards. My body worker says its a poor sign that, she likes it if I'm zonked out afterwards.
In a way its quite satisfying to have the difference between before after treatments too.
When I was going to chiropracter I always needed a day in bed the day after - just too stiff and sore to do more than stagger to the loo. Day after would still be knackered, but third day would begin to get beneficial effect. Should prob go back, but no time or money. (cue rolly eyes smiley)After buying our "forever" house four years ago and deciding we were never ever moving - guess what!
Hello Elona, I'm a relative newbie round here, so haven't met you before. What a difficult time for you,
I'm glad you'll have Christmas in your home with your family.
I will add your DH to my list of folks to Vibe for when I sit in our front porch watching the sky, the clouds and our garden (or when weeding at the lottie - great place for meditating and vibing) if that's OK with you. Yeah, know I sound like a loonie, but I'm a Southerner (born in Harrow) now naturalised in Liverpool, and I believe in the power of "The Vibes".
We've been in our "forever home" for just over 3 years now (took about a year and a half from purchase to moving in due to extending and renovating etc etc etc), and it's becoming something of a struggle, mainly because we're still trying to clear old home and sell it. Plus I signed up for an allotment too! :rotfl: When we bought we said if we could have 10 years here we'd feel it was worth all the effort.
I feel so much for you that you are selling after only a few years. That must be really hard. Hope you get a sale at a time that suits you and is as easy to deal with as these things can be. Best wishes, and good luck!

Definitely not! Most accept the situation ,but they're always a few bigots.0 -
I'm pages behind still! Hope to catch up eventually. Just been sending the vibes from a very chilly front porch...
A lot of our neighbours have flashy Xmas lights up on their houses. Grrr. I don't mind lights, but flashy ones horrible distracting and irritating. Grrr!0 -
My daughter had a friend round, who breast fed her baby in our living room the other day. She simply covered her shoulder with a scarf, as she didn't want anyone other her husband having a glimpse of her breast. Nobody asked her to. It's what she wanted, and there was no sign the baby cared. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I was just saying to someone " love seeing them, love even more not living with in eyeshot".
Our neighbours to the south have stating or slow flashing lights on an outdoor tree, fine, cause no trouble. We have some frankly hideous white lights in an upstairs window set to a static or slow phase for same reason.
Otoh, we were offered and declined some blue lights recently. I have thought of asking if they are still available and setting them up on a quite brisk phase for random periods over cristmas. ( we live on a rural road with no speed limit, with very patched up hedges and fencing. )0
