Lydia, one of the super better tasks is to thank somebody online. So, thanks for recommending super better. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Ivy leaf kiwi, like all the pets, has many names. He's quite often the buttered shrimp, or the crazy brown prawn. ( you have to see him in the rain for it to make sense really). My mother calls him her "wascallywoollywabbit" which he loves. I call him shorty. When he's naughty of not listening he gets his full name. He likes being called Louis, Oliver and the Cardinal Wolsey as well. Woolaliser. ( like womaniser.....we sing, woolaliser, woolaliser, you're a woolaliser. .....not one of out better musical interpretations I grant you). Gruffalo's child.

Thanks for wishes about knee too. It will surely end up stronger, unless we damaged something yesterday. ;). Swelling has gone down quite a bit over night, but she's right that I am not very mobile today. RP kindly walked the dogs for me, as they and I only managed the chicken chores this morning, dog dog would leave me to go for a wooshy run to burn off any steam, and if she wasn't going I wasn't encouraging kiwi to wander off because I didn't want him to pick his open route to goodness knows where! I'm comfortably settled with my feet up and dogs settled. ( from the cleaned soft toys Kiwi selected, I kid you not, his toy fox from ikea)

Good wishes for the knee from me too.

Have written 4 reports (short ones) this morning. Now another 18 short plus 13 long to go. Am allowing myself to check the NPT after 4 short or 2 long reports, followed by 1 item from today's list. Think my next list item is going to be the one about emailing some NP about something.

Having a chill out day today where I don't do very much at all....although that lasted about an hour after the school run and I decided to do some decluttering in the kitchen.

Got the OT coming back tomorrow to check on the progress of adaptations and see if I need anything more. Well, shower not done yet, half step done (just! He put it in on Tuesday and it is just about set today), rails outside front door - finished on Tuesday, grab handles outside the back door - done, extra hand rail on the stairs, done..so not bad really.

The boys are not quite convinced about having the rails outside the front door, think it makes it looks like a disabled person lives here and they couldn't quite understand why I laughed. They also hate the toilet surround and moan about it constantly...I just tell them they would moan more if they had to rescue their mum stuck on the loo :rotfl:

Apart from that, we are diddling along quite nicely at the moment.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Love those names. :rotfl:
Westie is sometimes called Chibi Totoro, based on a character out a Japanese anime movie.

Simply because he looks like Chibi Totoro. Sometimes he's just 'Chibi'.

My father in law calls him 'parasite'

He killed a fox - Ruby is in awe (Ruby aka Rubinator, Stumpicant, Wouble, and Woopoochoo, which is really a progress report on her early developement).

    Keep resting the knee.

Had a spectacularly quiet day yesterday, today it has picked up and got busy again. Which is good really, though it doesn't feel like it. Need to go out and spend money on the Christmas drink for customers - most of them are worth it.

Yes, I had been planning to offer you use of our car as we will be away pretty much all the time you are here if you were willing to pay to be put on the insurance.
    I think....
