DH had skin cancer near his eye removed over a year ago and then radiotherapy so things were "normal" and no need to worry. Then the blasted thing jumped, went dormant then woke up and spread behind the eye

We have had months of aggressive treatment with chemo and radiotherapy and he managed to walk dd down the aisle and also give a short speech :j

Ouch, poor him. I hope he's getting better. It sounds like the rest of the family is doing well at least.

The blokes that work on the ferries over here get skin cancers in their tear ducts. It beggars belief.

Hi elona! Lovely to see you on here - I'm quite new to this thread myself. I knew your DH had cancer but didn't know where. So sorry this has happened :( Thinking of you both, and your girls of course. May you find just the right home x

Nikkster ((HUGS)) from me too. Well done, it must have felt very scary doing what you did!

Lydia that was such a lovely supportive post to Nikkster. You are a sweetie :A

lir What a brave boy kiwi is! Hope he's okay now. I had to laugh at what you call him, it sounds like the way my DD talks to her dog when they're having a cuddle :D I hope your knee gets better quickly.

Spirit I forgot to say yesterday, well done with the polishing  sorry you didn't get your walk but it sounds as if the oedema is more important atm.

Got to go now, need to go shopping in a little while so we can be back in good time for DH to go to the dentist, the lucky chap :p

Can anyone think of a reason why I shouldn't use this lot to rent a car from:

    http://www.runaroundcars.com/cars-for-Hire.aspx

    ?????

They seem to operate under several different names, runarounds.biz, TA Runarounds, runaroundcars, Velo Media Ltd, DMJ Cars

    Looks fishy.

Ooh. Looks like it might be Kendalls that I use again in that case. Cheers wheezy.

We're just setting up to get a huge thunderstorm again. Love it. Lying in bed listening to the rain pound down. It seriously chucks it down at this time of year. I find it very relaxing.

I got through fast day #2. I'm not even that hungry although I'm craving sugar. I think I might have to cut back on that a little.

Lydia, one of the super better tasks is to thank somebody online. So, thanks for recommending super better. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

They don't seem to know where they are - address is near Dorking but the mobile mechanic page (same phone number) is just by J11 of M25 - which is Chertsey not Dorking.
I live very close to J10 of M25 so if you want an address checking out - just say!

I think I'll simply avoid them. Thanks for the offer though.

Kendalls in Guildford is very good IME. Back to them I think.
