I still need to give the garden a good de-clutter before winter, but the leaves of our apple and cherry tree still haven't fallen, so I'll postpone it a bit.
I do like gardening, but I also like postponing.0 -

Well I hate it, but I don't want to have to pay for a replace ment.
Or bloody choose one.
I've checked local toyota garage ...no four wheel drives there ATM. I'm going to have to hire a bloody car. That sits here unused a lot of the time, so that's another expense.
I don't want to physically go any look this afternoon. Not feeling great. But I suppose I'm going to have to now. And return courtesy car. RP goes away with that car tomorrow.
Expense for things like they dislike hurts people as tight as me.0 -

DD decided to buy a motor scooter. DW and I were/are dead against it. Recently, some tea leaves removed the scooter from our driveway at dead of night. DD has not yet forgiven us for jumping with joy at the news. :j:j:jNo reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Central heating still dead!

New part not arriving until tomorrow now (well they said hope it arrives tomorrow eek!), thank goodness I kept hold of my oil filled radiators from when it was playing up last year.
One upstairs and one downstairs is just about enough to take the chill off and at least it isn't minus temps yet.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
As I understand it (so likely to be complete BS...) pneumonia/ bronchitis aren't particular bugs, so isn't something you 'catch' per se - more a condition that develops from a lung infection that e.g. isn't cleared. So perhaps you start with 'flu, and it's particularly nasty or goes on a bit too long and you end up with a bit more severe tissue damage/ inflammation. And before anyone realises, it's 'pneumonia' or 'bronchitis'. It's a subtle difference, but I won't let that stop me being a science pedant. (Edited to add: Apologies in advance for that being shown up as nonsense!)
In my case, I didn't have a cold, nor flu, not even a sneeze or a cough.
Then out of the blue I got extremely tired...tired! I've never been so tired, I could just lay my head down anytime of the day and sleep.
Then high fever, constantly around 40 degrees C, and only came down a bit for a short while when stuffing myself with paracetamol.
They called it CAP (Community Acquired Pneumonia).0 -

If it's to be used so little, would a taxi work out better/cheaper?0 -

No.
Thinking of maybe hiring one for a month.
Current garage have a couple of cars I'm not keen on a bit like ours but not too expensive. Fir seems keen.
I'm suggesting we get his car fixed ( sigh) and buy something smaller and cheaper and admit our needs are better met by two cars. After all, the main need for a bigger day to day car is big dog, and she isn't going to be here. I can pop her in RP's car till the end and vacuum it each time.
This means I have something zippy I can enjoy driving while I can still drive and the defender issue is also dealt with ( if not in most cost effective way)
Otherwise dunno.0
