OH and I are loving TRX suspension training though........if any NP's have it in their local gym, worth a try as it's really good fun.

Yes, we have that at my local gym. I took one look at it and said "no chance" as there were two very fit guys using it at the time. However I was looking for a way to strengthen my hypermobile knees so personal trainer suggested using this with some bending exercises. I agree, it is good fun, though I tend to use the sports centre for classes rather than the gym.

How can he go to the dog groomers and come back smelling of ciggies? I mean, they obviously don't smoke in the dog ' salon' area so how can that be?

No, no, the car the garage gave me smells of cigs, dog type creature smells of strawberry cream and rose scented dog shampoo. I had my nose in his topknot much of the evening.

I thought it was the car that smelt of fags? Unless it's some new odour neutralising treatment for doggies (though I'm sure kiwi smells of roses at all times :)).

    Oh, that WOULD be nice.

Feel slightly guilty now about posting the wine/price article.....:(

If it helps to ease your conscience, you haven't put me off my relatively cheap red wine!

In the unlikely event I ever end up at a NP meet, I shall remember to bring along a jolly good bottle of red.:o

Cheers...I look forward to it however, you may have saved my liver as I think I just used to have a glass out of habit and the alcohol type in the cheap stuff can't be the addictive type alcohol as I thought I would get the shakes for a few days.....but nothing. Maybe 1 or 2 glasses a day with food isn't enough to give you the shakes when you stop.
But I did think I would get sulphite withdrawal symptoms.....but again...nothing.

I've spent way too much of the last 2-3 days going through slow cooker recipes. But I daren't use mine. Two main reasons, apart from the obvious one of fear of plugging anything in at all....
1] The 'cord' feels rubber; I haven't felt rubber power cords for years. Therefore, it petrifies me as I think "is it too old? is it old? is it safe?"
2] There's a screw that comes out of the bottom (presumably so one could take it apart). This touches the worktop when the SC sits on the top.... and then I read stuff like "put it on something".... and I haven't got anything to put it on and that screw worries me ... and so I'm too scared for this reason too.

This will stress you out. I decided last night to make the Tagine for tonight so chopped and seared everything at about 11pm and popped the casserole into the oven on 50 and cooked it all night. The kitchen smelt lovely this morning and it then had all day to stand and develop the flavour.

I am getting a sear and cook slow cooker for Xmas but didn't want an aluminium bowl....haven't had the time to wade through all the specs to find a steel one (if they exist). If any NP's know of a good one, pls plink for me. It must be able to go on a hob though.

......ignore the alpha muscly males showing off and work at your own pace. Doing squats with it is amazing as they support your weight and you can do tons of them without straining or 'dying' (but boy, did I feel it the next day).

We have alpha types in our class but equally, there are a few women too who are all at different fitness levels. It's mostly based around a plank so it's great for inner core.

Go once and stand at the front so you can see what to do and only do as much as you feel able...the 1st class is hard just because it is also learning a new 'skill' and you don't want to get 'weak' and let go and fall flat on your face (in front of the alpha's).
