Ah, this is why I want to take the car.

Apparently you have to queue up for quite a long time to swap your ticket for a numbered ticket to get in, as they over-subscribe. So for that we'll take our chairs. We can't leave the line, except to pop to Costa to top up on coffee. Once we have our passes we have about 3 hours to pop the chairs back to the car, get changed and enjoy the joys of Borehamwood Library, lunch, Debenhams, perhaps Tesco.... If we went by train we would have to stand up for 2-3 hours in the queue.

Interesting that they have changed the queuing system. It used to be that they let the first XX in, after that anyone in the queue who wasn't admitted was given a priority ticket for a subsequent show, guaranteeing entry on that day.

Thanks all, I'm getting pretty stressed now. I gave myself an early mark from work and I don't really know what to do with myself.

In lieu of working out what to do with myself I've opened a bottle of wine. Cheers.

Since Hamish posted up the sulphite chart thingy on cheap red wines (which I read) I have given up cheap wine thinking.......... from now on we'll only buy 'good' wine with low sulphites except we can't afford that type of wine in the volume we used to buy the cheap stuff.
So we ran out and didn't replace it.

I absolutely loved a glass of red wine box Cotes du Rhone (with probably even more sulphites than the bottled stuff) whilst cooking dinner most nights but, oddly, I don't miss it.

Weird... as I thought I was very in touch with my middle aged alcohol dependency issues.

I think I am writing when you are in bed? So hope the visit went well.

Accidently, I am detoxing.....must be the house finishing and stuff maybe?
So no more smoking (as I used to abstain a long while and then have a binge smoking week), no more cheap wine (and I don't drink any other alcohol as don't like it) and I recently made a conscious effort to only have 1 coffee per day (OK, it's a knockout strong one)....and I should feel amazing yet I feel no different really. All this detoxing is a bit of a con I think.;)

OH and I are loving TRX suspension training though........if any NP's have it in their local gym, worth a try as it's really good fun.

It was really hard to get up this morning. The cats were clinging on to my arms ( literally) trying to get me to stay in bed and my back is sore so I really needed my arms to help pull me up. As I sat on the edge of the bed they tried to crawl on to my lap and entreat me back in that way. Its so hard to say no.

awwwww....I have a picture of them in my head now. They are very regal your 2 cats.

. Spirit ; if the neighbours can fill in, then I think you did the right thing.

How can he go to the dog groomers and come back smelling of ciggies? I mean, they obviously don't smoke in the dog ' salon' area so how can that be?

I thought it was the car that smelt of fags? Unless it's some new odour neutralising treatment for doggies (though I'm sure kiwi smells of roses at all times :)).

My house is in turmoil and stinks of vinegar.

    I'm very happy.

Good, glad they worked out....what di RP think of them or did he go down the pub whilst they were there?
I'm cold ... and hungry ... and sitting in the dark.

Automatic light switch hasn't turned on yet and I don't want to turn it on manually as I want to continue to check it is working fine.... can't think what to cook/eat beyond toast ... and can't be bothered to get up and move the switch so the heating comes on.

EDIT: I snapped.... had to go for a wee, so turned the heating on, then made myself a nice 'cooked breakfast' to eat, came back into this room and it was still dark so I had to turn the lamp on to eat my dinner :)

oh PN, makes me want to come around and turn them on and deliver you some of tonight's Chicken and Apricot Tagine (though could be too fussy/ mixed up for your taste).
Channel 4 now: Liberty of London
Channel 5 now: Can't Pay We'll Take it Away - evictions special. 4 different evictions.
1] Tenant not paid rent for 18 months, could be violent. Police are on hand. They're in = tenant not at home, court papers are on the table. Phoned tenant,he said "thought I had until the 25th"... "We're standing in your front room"... "You're kidding!!" ... "Come home then..." ...
His mother had bought the flat specifically for him, as he'd had a tough upbringing - charging him just £100/week rent, but he stopped paying.
2] Complicated eviction. Number of separate families live in a property - LL wants to refurbish so given them all notice. Some have moved out, but two sets remain.

Got The Apprentice on but it's not grabbing my attention.
Taping 'Get Me Out Of Here' so I can watch that hideous Gemma exit the show (not that I wandered onto Mail online today for a procrastinate).

Aha...I read it incorrectly......it's the loan car that smells a bit, not the doggy.

Feel slightly guilty now about posting the wine/price article.....:(

In the unlikely event I ever end up at a NP meet, I shall remember to bring along a jolly good bottle of red.:o

It's like when I go to the hairdressers... they let you out the back half way through to have a quick cig... same at the dog groomers for those dogs that simply won't kick the habit :)
