Oh wow, those are nice lights. I think Liverpool is going to move away from the orange monstrosities too,
Good news! If they could move away from that other monstrosity of purple wheelie bins, imagine how good Liverpool will look. :)

Bugs is fabulous and very body confident. I will only be posting on that thread if I am wearing a burka.

    Bahhhhhhh

Went out, and car went BOOOOOOOOOOm. Exhaust went. ( we had this done before. ) had to drive back to the town where garage is and io had the two girls in the car.

He gave me a nice car the one time I wanted a jalopy.....because of the dogs, lol. anyway, then the girls, refused to get out and leave their car.

So I had to do a little song and dance routine to convince big girl especially it was a good thing.

Its just as well I don't seek to have credibility. ' common doggies, mummy's new car for a day, common doggies, tinted windows all the way, white paint work we can sell drugs, drive fast, cover the windshield with bugs' are hardly going to win me village minstrel of the year even.

I think you should have a word with CK. That looks like Eurovision quality to me. you could have the "die little fishes duet as the B side.

Last night OH had norovirus. whilst vomiting he passed out and ell in the bathroom. twice. We could not get him up so we called an ambulance. he spent two hours on the floor before being taken to hospital.Despite it being the middle of the night our lovely neighbours came round and looked after OH making him comfortable as I could not look after him and he had hurt his knee.

he is home on crutches now as he has damaged a medial (knee) ligament.so we are both now incapacitated.DD is a way for a further 3 weeks.
other neighbours have walked the dog, shopped, put the bin out, fed the bunnies and offered to do the ironing.
I am having the fish pie another neighbour made yesterday . I feel very fortunate in having such genuine and kind neighbours.

Poor, poor both of you! I hope your OH starts to feel a lot better, very soon. The fact that your neighbours are so willing to help says a lot about them, but it also says a lot about you, ie how kind and attentive you have no doubt been to their needs over the years.

So sorry to hear the latest update :(

Just want to echo GDB's comments.

:rotfl: *wipes tears from eyes* - the Q&A section is good too!

That reminds me of my favourite Eurovision lyrics (original was in Hungarian). IIRC, lir liked this one.

my sweetheart is a kind of girl who
had been nurtured by wolves and
    danced with a mirage and
    started off silently my sweetheart
    she is my sweetheart.

my sweetheart is a kind of girl who
    is wreathed by seven continents
    splashes to beautiful seas and
    dances between clouds, my sweetheart
    she is my sweetheart.

    ’cause for me:
there is no other, only my sweetheart, my sweetheart
should she go anywhere, that’s good for me, that’s good for me
’cause she finds me all the time, my sweetheart, my sweetheart
will she hum so: it’s so good to me, so it’s good for me, this song.

my sweetheart is a kind of girl who
    is torn by capricious dreams
her entangled hair in the mornings
is braided by winds, that’s why my sweetheart is so different
    she is my sweetheart.

    my sweetheart with the infinity
she bids defiance and never dreads
    makes carriage from rosemary
towed by crickets, this is how she soothes me quietly
    she is my sweetheart.

I think you've done the right thing there, too. My parents didn't tell me when dad had to go to A&E at the end of their first day on holiday in France this summer, as there was absolutely nothing I could have done about it and would just have worried.

Oh, die little fishes is brilliant ( though its a rip off musically). It has harmonies, can be sung in round ( if cooking lots of mussels). But it doesn't have a dance.

So, just went out to pick up the kiwi, who had a short back and sides today ( very good one I think) and he too hates the courtesy car.

It does smell faintly of cigarettes, but its nicer than our car. Muffin brains.

We drove back, and he opted to sit next to me, and the car in the slow lane next to me almost steered off the road looking at the kiwi.

(I told kiwi sophisticated cougar lady dogs from London probably didn't go for the uncoiffed look....so now he looks a bit like grey doggy Elvis)46d0bffec2fc668525e78138f4126681_zps1e588fe3.jpg

Thanks silver, my understanding is that it is filmed at the Shenley Road studios. DigiSpy says to try parking in civic centre car park as all day is £5. We need to get there about 9.30am to queue until lunchtime to get in. The actual recording is due to finish at 10.30pm, so long day!

Thanks for all of the ideas. I think we are going to be in the vicinity for so long that we'll get a chance to try all of them.

Thanks also for the offer of parking. It's very kind. I think we will park at the civic centre though as that's not too far to carry lightweight chairs in order to wait in line for ages.

So what happens to the chairs when you get admitted? They are often really strict about what you can take in with you. I recall people saying that umbrellas are banned and there is little storage.
